I have been playing Halo Online and Halo 2 with a controller and now I am attempting to use an Xbox 360 wired controller on a windows 10 gaming laptop for Halo CE. As I looked at countless tutorials, all of them mostly used the “Gamepad” option before using the game settings to manually input the controller controls. BUT, I can’t use the “gamepad” option because it is blocked/faded out/locked. I can’t access it to register my controller and put in the controls. Is there a way to override it and access the gamepad option or a different way?
