Halo CE Death physics?

Anybody know what the name or the death physics was for CE? Its something ive never seen in any other videogame and was always impressed by for some reason (when at the time, most deaths were just static animations)

Now of course we have “ragdoll” physics for corpses but, I liked to think of the CE physics as “shadowdoll” physics seeing as how the body would stretch in the pattern of its environment (like a shadow)

If I am not mistaken Halo CE used a death physics’ process know as “Inverse kinematics post-processing” where the body would stick to whatever surface it could touch. That’s why the arms, legs, or any other part of the body that would fall off of an edge would automatically shift down, in an attempt to touch the second nearest surface below.

Also, Halo CE was the only Halo game that didn’t use rag-doll physics.
