I’ve noticed some strange things in the opening cutscene of the Pillar of Autumn.
Instead of a pelican here in the hanger as it’s supposed to be.

There is now a floating ammo crate in it’s place.

Something tells me this is not a deliberate narrative change.
And here behind Johnson, our wayward pelican perhaps?

Yeah, that wasn’t there before.

Oh and this screen is now broken. Where did the text go?

Here is the original for comparison.

Oh and now there is one of those tube things floating in this room. That definitely wasn’t there before.

Wasn’t there originally…

I’ve replayed this cutscene just to make sure it wasn’t a one off bug, replayed it several times, restarted the game, reinstalled and this happens every time.
343 has long since abandoned the anniversary graphics since most MCC players prefer the old graphics. I don’t think they’ve said anything about fixing the anniversary issues.
These aren’t anniversary graphical issues, objects in CE are plainly not where they are supposed to be anniversary or classic. It’s a known bug that 343 is investigating.
I don’t know what they did to anniversary graphics in the last update but something is seriously borked. Framerate is some 20% lower than what it is on prior versions, they are causing the game to lock up and crash after a few minutes for me making it literally unplayable in new graphics. Every MCC version since late 2021 has introduced a bunch of new issue in CE that aren’t getting fixed in a timely manner.
