During halo campaign, in halo 1, I noticed that between each game engine there were differences between the geometry of the landscape. I managed to shoot rockets at myself many times thinking there was nothing in front of me when the old engine had an object.
Near the last portion of the outside part of Two Betrayals, I shot myself point blank against rocks and in the banshee when I thought nothing was there.
We need to verify the hit boxes in the landscape of the new Halo engine.
The issue comes from Classic and Anniversary graphics using the same collision, as the collision for both the environment or enemies doesn’t change between graphics settings. For gameplay reasons, I recommend only using Classic graphics when doing Legendary Playthroughs, at least imo.
I would like for the Anniversary graphics to be more accurate around gameplay critical edges. Trees have been my number 1 killer in Anniversary graphics, since the diameter of Anniversary trees are way smaller than the classic ones. The branches of Anniversary trees are different, too, which caused some hiccups in Truth and Reconciliation, lol
