Well, since Halo CEA will be using the Reach engine to run the online matchmaking what will the armory be like? Will it be all the armor from Reach? Will they change it so it is just the default from Reach? or are they going to do the right thing and change it so it’s the Mark V armor. Mark V would be the best since it’s Halo CE not Reach. Also, since it’s Halo CE will they bring back black and get rid of emblems? And finally, are the online ranks going to be the same as Reach? i.e. Legend, Nova, Inheritor.

Good point, will it have complete seperate ranking from reach, if your not using as DLC?
I agree with bring back black, but keep the emblems, and give us some more armor, and maybe an edit to the Mark V helmet would be nice.
I wonder if anniversary’s campaign will have stats.
he did say the TU will add more of a classic feel so who knows?
A classic feel would mean no ranks and no armour customization.
That’s way classic, probably a little more classic than most people would want.
Yes, they did state it. The multiplayer component of CEA will run on the Reach engine, with the same multiplayer, same forge, same theater, and same armory. Copies of CEA will come with a voucher to download the new maps so they can be played directly from the Reach disc, and the maps will eventually be released as a Map Pack for download, no CEA required.
Toa Freak is correct. Everything will be identical rank-wise. The only thing that might change is some gameplay features.
Truthishly, I notice that the word choice employees have used seems very particular. I imagine that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition is gonna be something like ODST. A campaign accompanied by the previous major installment’s multiplayer. But I dunno… sometimes it seems like what is being said is that there is going to be a separate (but very very similar) multiplayer specifically for Halo Anniversary in which these maps are placed. And that would be really, really silly to do.
Either way, I doubt we’ll see anything new. Halo Anniversary is all about the classic Halo: CE (for Xbox) experience – and online matchmaking is anything but. That’s the Halo 2 experience, if any one Halo game. If there are any changes made to the Reach multiplayer, it is most certainly going to be in the interest of classic-ness, and the only way to go with the Armory and Ranks in classic-ness is to gut 'em and drag 'em away. I doubt that’ll happen.
If there is one change I would not be surprised to hear, it would be the addition of MJOLNIR Mark V as depicted by Halo Anniversary’s new visuals. But I’m skeptical of even that much.
What you guys are talking about is exactly what people thought of ODST. Get what I’m saying?
Bring black back! and Mark VI and Mark V chest!!!
> Copies of CEA will come with a voucher to download the new maps so they can be played directly from the Reach disc,
No, they are all on the cea disk which you can install to your hard drive.

Proof?
Almost any interview all the way back to e3.

I’ve watched them, and I don’t recall them ever saying what you claim. I recall being able to download the maps for use in Reach. Not installing the CEA disc and being able to access the maps from the Reach disc.

Installing the maps from the cea disk.

Again, that’s not what I recall. Anyway, I’m listening to some older interviews, so I’ll post back when I find the truth.
Okay, in the Sparkast from June 6, they stated that owners of Reach will be able to download a content pack for a seemless experience. They did not say whether you download this directly off the disc or whether it comes with a download code.
