I honestly think Microsoft and 343i should make Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 backwards compatible with the Xbox One. They’ve done it with so many other games. Why not them, right?

because the MCC is on game pass and I’m pretty sure that’s up to Microsoft to handle not so much 343i. Microsoft has been really slow on adding original Xbox games to the Xbox one
Yep, this is something the Backwards Compatible team would be working on and not 343. I’m not sure if there are any plans to add more OG Xbox titles, time will tell

Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 are really the only things keeping Halo: The Master Chief Collection even remotely relevant. Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 are all available (in much more complete and functional forms) in their original releases which are all playable on Xbox One. If Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 were made backwards compatible, you wouldn’t have to settle for a lesser experience which means less money for Microsoft.
I agree fully that they should be added, but I honestly don’t see it happening.
