since the last content update, me and my friend have not been able to complete the Keyes mission on Halo CE. Specifically, after falling down into the green fuel area, and after fighting the Flood and the Covenant for a bit, the game freezes for the non-host player. The player is stuck in one place, but still has the ability to look around, but cannot teleport or respawn after the host dies, etc. This happened for both of us after changing hosts.
As for Halo 2, I am unable to get any games started in co-op. Once I start the mission we see the loading screen. Then we get kicked to the main menu. This sometimes happens when my friend is the host, but very rarely.
We have not had any problems playing Halo 3 or Halo 4 in co-op.
I have a wired 150mb download 90mb upload open NAT. He is using wifi. We have both hard reset our Xbox Ones to clear the cache, but to no avail.

I came on here to find out if other people were experiencing the same things I’ve been and apparently there are.
First, maybe I can be of help and suggest starting a campaign mission, on Halo 2, starting in classic mode (not remastered). For some reason we’re able to start a campaign mission together more successfully that way than when remastered is on.I don’t know why it makes a difference … but it definitely helps.
We’ve been stuck on the Halo 2 Regret mission for days now. We’ve started it and had it crash on us 4 times … 4 TIMES! After spending over an hour on the mission late at night and get to the point where the screen freezes, sound starts buzzing, and game crashes to the dashboard … its getting extremely frustrating and souring our enthusiasm for the Halo series. 2 times the game crashed when taking on the hunters in the big underground room with the large prophet hologram and terminal. Another time it crashed while we were at the end battling the prophet Regret (which I almost threw my controller through the TV, which my friend reminded me that the TV was worth more than the game heh heh). The other time, I can’t remember.
Anyhow, I don’t know what to do if it keeps crashing on this level. I guess we could skip it, but it would bother me not seeing that badge lit up with the legendary icon. In a way, I think it would have more value beating these campaigns on legendary while the game is completely buggy. That in itself should be an achievement
Anyhow, if anyone has any suggestions on how we could make the game behave better so our chances of getting through the Regret campaign level are better, please let me know. Thanks.

So after several weeks of taking a break from Halo to try and beat that Regret mission on legendary with a friend, we decided to try again tonight to see if the issues were fixed.
Nope.
After about an hour and a half into the Regret mission it crashed when the 2nd gondola reached the docking station.
5 times now trying to beat this stupid mission. 5 nights wasting time. 5 times having the magic of Halo being eaten away little by little.
I wonder if 343 could somehow just give us the legendary badge for that mission. I’m not trying to take a shortcut in getting the badge, but I think after 5 times of getting to the end only to have the game crash on us … just give us the badge already so we can move on. Anyone try to contact 343 to see if they can award it on their end?
Well, I’m happy to report that we were able to complete the Regret mission last night. I thought we should try starting the game in classic mode, and playing through the whole mission on classic. Sure enough, after taking out the prophet Regret we made it through to the end mission report screen and that nice achievement popup made its way to the screen.
Also would like to mention that we immediately skipped whatever cutscenes there were.
So the moral of the story? If at first you can’t succeed … try in classic mode again.

about 10 times crashed at the end or near the end… Co-op on the same consol… Legendary… So frustrating… All levels before and so far 2 levels after with no problems… But regret every time glitches out on us…

Do what we did and start the mission in classic mode, and play through it on classic the whole time. Gets pretty dark in some areas but I’ve found that some areas are actually easier to get through in classic (I know, doesn’t make sense because doesn’t the classic/remastered toggle affect only graphics?!?).
And skip cutscenes if you can. That may have helped as well, but I can’t confirm it.
From what i gather, 343 doesn’t care about the campaign issues. its been 2 months now, and we have got little to no information that they are even working on fixes for campaign or even acknowledge there is any issues with it. All we have been getting are MP updates, which are nice (if they fix anything), but it would be nice to get SOME form of recognition that they are aware the campaign is in just as much of a broken state as MP is.
Same thing is happening with us. In Halo 2 on co-op Regret mission, once we get off the second gondola, the game freezes on a white screen with a loud buzzing sound, then we are kicked back to our Xbox home page. This has happened 3 times now so it’s not a fluke. Please fix this.
I am sick and tired, that after months I still can’t play co-op with my mates due to the connection list problem. And the fact that apparently nobody cares at 343 is a punch in the face of everybody spending money on this turd.
I’ve got the same issue on truth and rec halo CE, get into the ship and My friend can still play, my system freezes. controller is on but not responsive although i can nav with the kinect. ive spent 10 years talking it up to my brother, he finally gets a chance to play Halo CE and we can’t even get past the 3rd board. haha. Man for real tho, anyone have a suggestion on how to get past this?
