Still, can’t complain with the gameplay. Good stuff.
The last clip of that video is all I have wanted to see since they announced they would be using reach’s engine for MP.

I dont understand… are you saying this magnum will increase the skill gap? because a utility weapon as powerful as the halo ce magnum is going to smash the skill gap shut.

Actually the skill gap in CE was awesome. Comparable or greater than the skill gap of H2.

That’s a huge understatement. The skill gap in Halo 1 is ridiculously massive, to the point that many people who absolutely hate the multiplayer hate it because the skill gap is, according to them, way too froodlenutzskying large.
However.
If the magnetism and stuff is how it is in default Reach, then yeah, the Anniversary pistol very well might not do much to affect Reach’s skill gap. 5sk’ing in Reach is far easier than 3sk’ing in Halo 1, and if hitting enemies is as easy in Anniversary as in default Reach, 3sk’ing in Reach won’t be all that impressive.

And yeah, Halo PC’s netcode is silly. Gotta love watching people predict where the enemy is according to the host server.
Thats why a ranking system would have been great for Halo 1 if it ever had live. Anyways on Mac/Pc the good people would play in the good servers and the bad people would play in the casual servers. Its funny though when a good person joins a casual server and drops some hell.
CE pistol was not hitscan though. Hopefully that extra speed will compensate.
What a great video. That is what Halo would have been if CE had Live. Going from CE to H2, is like going from H2 to Reach multiplayer. The former is far, far superior than the latter.
I am excited.
[EDIT] I also noticed the 32 shot AR. So I am guessing other guns aren’t going to be getting the CE treatment… Hmm, seems like the sniper and the Rocket remain the only power weapons in the game… If they dont want to add plasma stun, they should at least increase the shotties power at close range.

stop obsessing about the magnum. Why not the shotgun, the AR, or the plasma pistol? I remember a lot of over-powered weapons in that game.
