Howdy!

First post in waypoint. (In general…not just because of the transition to the new digs)

A few years back, I stumbled upon the Halo Canon Order thread (Both Halo 3 and before and Halo 4 and beyond). I believe it was Master of Unicorns…who created the entire thing. It was an extensive and well researched Canon order with links to online material embedded.

I’m still progressing through that order (currently in year 2558) and discovered it is no longer accessible due to the Waypoint transition. Here are my questions/thoughts:

  1. Will the two Canon order threads be transitioned soon? Is there a way to find them and push them up the priority list?
  2. If not…would it be useful for me to recreate them here? I can do it, but it’ll be a good amount of time and I don’t want to do it if Waypoint plans to transfer the threads over as soon as I finish.

However, if there is interest and it would help the community, I can do it. I saved all of Master of Unicorn’s Canon Order into a word document in 2018 (which preserved the links) and have also been making real-time edits/updates to the overall product. (adding books, fixing links, rearranging a few minor things to make the order flow better)

If nobody responds or the moderators decide to port over the old canon order threads, I’ll disregard this post. Otherwise, if there is interest, I’ll get started.

I’ve found an accurate complete canon order of all Halo media on a website called ‘mythbank’. Just google ‘Mythbank Halo’ and it should be the first thing to come up!

I would link it here but the site has links to online shops and I’m not sure what the rules are about that here.

Ah that old things. They became outdated badly while I started to focus on Halopedia. :slight_smile: Which I been working on the side that timeline. With plans of a new “canon order” like timeline in the pipeline there.

Update: With the old forums porting over. It messed up the old threads. Ultimately this means my versions of the forum based Canon Orders are now 100% retired! Twas fun and means I dont have to worry too much about them anymore!

I still have a word doc version of your canon order. (created it in case of this exact scenario)

Do you have a version that is more updated? Several books have come out since your last update on the old forums and I’ve simply penciled them in.

If you haven’t been keeping it updated due to your work on Halopedia, no worries. (BTW, if that’s all you, bravo. Halopedia is a VERY robust information hub that I have used many times)
