I suppose i’m not the only one to realize the discrepancies between the halo games and it’s other media in terms of weapon efficiency and stuff.
I’m starting this post with both the purpose of discussing this matter with the rest of the halo community and to propose the creation of a halo canon based matchmaking playlist.

It’s called gameplay reasons.
If you had “canon” weapon stats, the game would be totally different. Hell, the maps probably wouldn’t support it.
Canon matchmaking:
You have to march for hours at a stretch facing the risk of catching diarrhea,
Every single day, your tank and warthog and stuff has to be repaired again and again.
You constantly have to listen to your superior yelling random crap at you.
When you finally finally can start a fight, you get glassed.
Repeat.

I understand gameplay reasons, that’s why I don’t whine about it, however it would be a good option for those who want a more like halo experience than the same old DMR spam., if you want, try to think of it as a halo version of COD’s hardcore mode.
If it were ‘canon’ matchmaking one plasma bolt would melt through your armor. Gameplay reasons for the most part, but I understand your point. You just want a little more ‘canon’ gameplay, eh?

one of the biggest reasons halo is different than COD is because of shields… and now you want to get rid of them? really?

lolol then we all can be Kat and get killed by a needler rifle.
i think he mean that you can kill with the AUTO guns easier, like in 2x firefight, the AR can kill a grunt in 3 bullet, like a 7.62x51 NATO heavy round( the caliber of the MA37) would probably actually do.
i would be for this, if only to try it. it would be a who saw who first wins kinda deal but it wouldnt be any worse then swat.

Kinda like it, more of a 1.5x or 1.75x firefight with more powerful AR and plasmas, not enough to be a who fires first win, but enough to make the AR and plasmas a real fearsome match.
Oh let’s not forget about buffing the vehicles, they are way to easy to destroy to be taken seriously.
