Which Halo game are you experiencing issues with? Are you playing it solo, or in co-op?
I don’t know if 343i updated the networking code for the older Halo games. You may experience lag when playing campaign co-op in those games.

Im having issues with all 4 of the campaigns while playing co-op with a friend online.
constantly being kicked during mission rendering them unplayable from checkpoints.

Could be lag from the HDD?

You’re thinking of split-screen. The game has always allowed four people to play together over Xbox LIVE.
