Currently, I’m trying to catch up on my Halo lore through the books and games. However, I can’t find an accurate or up to date listing of the lore in chronological order. From what I’ve gathered, it is:

Cardinal has the closest order of cannon thus far, but you are all forgetting about the comic that came with the legendary edition of Halo Wars, detailing the events before and during the attack on Harvest, just prior to the events of Halo Wars.
Also, the date that the events of Halo Contact Harvest begin is the year 2524. Pariah from Halo Evolutions takes place in 2517. With those two switched and Halo Wars: Genesis added in, this is a more accurate version of the list:

From my understanding Grasslands picks up where Onyx left off and I have placed Hunters in the Dark just past Grasslands as from my understanding Grasslands took place in 2553 and Hunters takes place in 2555.

To be picky. Spartan Assault is a simulation. So the events happen sometime after Roland arrives on Infinity after Halo 4.
And its not a good idea to have books that have not come out yet in a place. As technically they can go anywhere till they officially come out.
