This will be the last bit of feedback from me for a while. I’m having a blast playing the game. Hopeful for the future. Happy halo days!

  1. General

HCS brackets are resolved much too quickly. You have the cast and rosters to broadcast each game over multiple days. I’d like to see each match be scheduled and for each matchup to have their own dedicated time. Also splitting the broadcast over multiple days would be less cumbersome to watch. The video for day 2 NA HCS kickoff is just under 11 hours. I tuned in for about 2 hours of the stream (less than 20% of the stream) and i feel less informed/interested in the Raleigh event. Consider streaming over multiple days which would make viewing competitive halo a casual experience. Also inform your viewers about who’s playing for the day and what the time slots are; it currently feels erratic and unorganized. I don’t believe any team should play twice within the same stream outside of finals. I’d rather tune in for 5 hours a week for a month than 20 hours across 2 days. You can leverage the waypoint app and the HI community menu to feature these schedules. Lastly, there’s no ads; it just seems like a missed opportunity to gain partners for these events, especially since you’ve relied so heavily on marketing the game through food items.

There is no limit to a training mode. My game was suspended overnight and the game never ended. There was no disconnect from the servers. While i did load up much faster, i felt this was an inappropriate use of the servers.

2.Store/customization

For reference to this and all former feedback regarding store and customization, some statistics on myself and games i’ve spent the most money on:

I typically appreciate the grind to earn most things in a game. Some premium content can convince me to spend. I’ve spent $100 on credits in Halo Infinite so far. I will be holding off on any more purchases until updates are made.

The approach to the store is looking worse this week. The values are not good. I’d like to spend on this game but the value is just not there. I also don’t appreciate the different armor sets being available exclusively through the store. I’m sitting on plenty of credits; i just can’t rationalize spending the credits on what is available. I do like the “orange juice” visor, it’s just not worth what your asking. Please reevaluate.

A suggested approach that could help with value in the store and weekly rewards that uses systems already in place:

A weekly “pass” with more rewards. Frankly, players will start finishing this season pass before the end of December, leaving nothing to unlock outside the store and events for nearly 4 months - which will undoubtedly cause an upset. A weekly pass would provide a reason to play as well as bring in a healthy approach to providing content. This weekly pass would be a hybrid of event and season pass mechanics. Each challenge (beyond the basic ones) completed moves you up a tier but you can also pay 200 CR to advance one tier by skipping a challenge or 500 CR to skip the ultimate. The rewards would take the armor sets and bundles from the store and drip the rewards by completing challenges with the more valuable rewards being the last tier. You could also include armor/weapon coatings and emblems as filler content. I would also suggest rewarding up to 50 CR each week (4 weeks to skip tier / 20 weeks to get season pass) - you could also split this into five 10 CR rewards. This would capitalize on FOMO players who are unable to finish in time (almost me last week - i had my brother grind my last few wins) it also opens up economics and encourages players to earn and spend. This would remove the highest priced items from the store and would give the space to separate other bundles into smaller or individual items. The individual items in the weekly pass could also reappear in the store for players who missed the opportunity. This will normalize players seeing things in the store that they already own. Anything in the store up to this point would not be eligible as a weekly pass reward.

Make the mk V and all future armor cores free. It will open up possibilities for weekly rewards and store purchases.

3.Gameplay

At the start of the game when the screen is black, you have control over your spartan and can navigate the maps blind. This might provide modest advantages in positioning at the start of the game.

4.Sound

Upon dying at the same time as an enemy mongoose exploding, i lost most audio. Seemed like a rare occurance.

On recharge, the texture glitch is still present from the flight. When standing against the wall while on the crates in hydro. You can see a texture pop into the map when looking towards long hall.

Behemoth in quick play snowballs very quickly if you lose both power weapons/vehicles during first fight. I do enjoy ranked play on this map much more. Please consider moving power weapons to more balanced positions during quick play.
