How about being able to play as a marine, heavy marine,sniper,ODST,or Spartan
Then having space battles lading on covanent or UNSC Ships playig as grunts, heavy,jackal sniper,Elite minor,Elite General.
I’ve always wanted a branch-off, Star Wars Battlefront version of Halo. Class-based warfare with Star Wars Battlefront-esque vehicle focus and map size. But not apart of the main installments.
Spacebattles, yes, any soldiers besides Spartans or Elites, no.

My brother and I were talking about this just the other day. Seeing as how 343i has adopted several employees from Pandemic, it’s not completely impossible that something like this shows up in Halo 4.
However, I say it should be somewhat of a mix between territories and invasion. There wouldn’t be different classes (at least, not for the player to use), but you would have your first point. You also have a certain amount of reinforcements (lives), and capture points to gain ground and be able to spawn there. I’m sure all of you that have played Battlefront know what I’m talking about.
Now, what else could be cool would be to add some Firefight elements into it (maybe have it be a Firefight variant?) where there are AI running around with you, though obviously not Spartans or Elites, probably just smaller guys like Marines, ODSTs and whatnot. It’d be pretty awesome to have, though probably would be a pain online with lagging issues.
I liked Battlefronts Space battles and I think something like It should be made in H4,maybe being able to forge the space environments as well??

That, I believe, could be an entirely different game in itself. At the least, I think a community gametype that lets you choose between loadouts with different weapon/equipment, akin to Star Wars Battlefront (sniper class, engineer class, etc) would be the easiest option to implement.
