Halo: Battle Born

Hey all,

I just read the small synopsis on Halo: Battle Born, and I have to say, really intrigued by the idea. It brings to light a more civilian-focused aspect to the universe that has been lacking. As more details emerge, I have some questions to pose to everyone:

  1. When does this take place (year)?
  2. Who is this wounded Spartan?
  3. How will the civilians interact with one another and the Spartan? Will their attitudes/personalities clash? If so, in what way?
  4. Predictions on what will happen?

Feel free to offer your own questions or theories, this is an open discussion. Remember to be polite.

Happy hunting.

I believe that the Spartan could very well be Kevin A282, He does have Blue armour in MK V so maybe he was upgraded to have MK IV

Most of the rest are accounted for, and I doubt its an S-II.

Pre. They mention the Covenant showing up and messing things up so this is 2540s at least, before the 3+ year long war for Meridian that ended with it being glassed

Who the hell would be the Spartan then if it’s in early 2540s? There was a Spartan that was apart of noble team that would be switched out for emile on insurection missions…rosenda I believe.Could be her or maybe Maria 062

Current going theory is that its one of the Spartan-IIIs of Alpha Company, possibly the one from Halo Fractures.

Looks like it takes place in Meridian. Covenant presence was on the planet from 2548-2551…so I’m guessing the setting is sometime then.

And I’m getting some serious Red Dawn vibes from the book’s synopsis, even with the cover featuring the civilian students taking up arms. I can’t wait to read it when it gets released. Someone put their high school mascot as the Wolverines!

Brav

Updates?
Give me some spoilers, I want to know if it’s worth it.
