There has been quite a bit of talk about how adding armor abilities, weapon/armor perks, and other customizing options outside of the action, and how this will effect the game as it was meant to be.
On the one hand, some people say that adding these things is the natural evolution of games, and that halo cannot survive if it does not conform.
However, it is important to note halos past as a traditionally balanced game through equal starting abilities of both teams.
In my opinion, Halo needs to return to its roots of being a game based on equal team positioning and abilities. From the start of a traditional Halo multiplayer match, both teams are at an equal distance from all the power weapons and every person starts out with the same weapons and abilities. This made the game focused more on decisive team action based on how to get weapons and hold points.
I have nothing against games that do other wise, and I am a big fan of them, however Halo is the only FPS I know of that follows this formula in such a casual setting, and I would hate to see this style of game go away.
If any one knows of any games that still do this, tell me so that I know what to buy instead of Halo 4 to really get the experience I want from a Halo game.
