Sadly, no, this topic isn’t exactly about disagreeing with the direction their taking armour design. Is anyone else in the same situation where they coveted these rare armours like Achilles, Helioskrill and Helljumper, then not wear them for long once they’re awarded? That’s me. It’s like, I spent my entire career grinding to earn these impressive armour sets, then end up being completely content with wearing Mark IV in the end.
What about you? Are you still on the quest to earn Achilles n’such? Are you still happy after you earned 'em?
Eh, sorta? I’m still grinding for my Noble Team armors(Intruder base version specifically) but once I’m done? I’d probably just play to finish off my collection and get some slternate armors to switch to when I’m bored. I’d generally be satisfied to keep my current combo (Intruder Tresspasser, Mark V Delta, Resolute visor) though.

I don’t have a spartan company so I’m not really interested in getting Achilles and I got helioskrill before launch. My goal for most of my playtime was to unlock Mark IV before the launch of halo wars 2 which I did about a week and a half before but I also got the classic helmet pack and I’ve been wearing CQB ever since because it had always been my favourite helmet back in H3.
I earned the Achilles helmet back in June and I’ve been wearing it ever since, but then the Timmy helmet came out and for some reason its so much more appealing then Achilles for me. I’ll probably wear it forever now. I think part of the reason is now that a lot of people have gotten Achilles its not nearly as special. I also could have just got bored of it.
I cannot say that I’m in this boat. The only armours I ever wanted in this game are the classic sets (Noble Team + Mark IV), as well as the classic helmets. I’m still wearing the good old Mark IV armour and my CQB helmet.

I have kept to the Achilles helmet since I earned it last month. I did try switching up to EOD for a bit, and it didn’t work for me. I don’t see myself changing it too soon. My body armor I change all the time.

A lot of the armour and helmets look too similar to each other, so I’m content with wearing just my recruit armour and perhaps a visor that’ll stand out. I wanted to recreate Noble Six but alas I don’t think that’ll occur, since lack of armour customization >_>
