Like in the title, the Halo App crashes on startup. I’m on the correct Windows version, only Windows Defender and Firewall. I tried disabling firewall with no change. This is keeping me from signing in and using Halo 5: Forge.
App is also crashing for me too. Also people on reddit they cant get it to work so it may be an issue from 343s end.
Same for me as well. If you have the app on your system and try to launch forge by itself, it causes forge to crash too. With the app uninstalled, forge works with no issues.
This is being reported heavily by a lot of people in a lot of forums.

The Halo app wont launch, it gets to the sign in screen then INSTANTLY crashes and closes, and the Halo 5: Forge tool itself wont download. The download starts but then it keeps stopping and I have to repeatedly manually pause the update and restart it. It will only download 30mb at a time before I have to repeat this process, and naturally I will not be doing this for the entire 36gb file.

As a whole, I can’t get it to download from the Store. The “Free” option is grayed out even though I have all system requirements (Windows 10 updated to last revision, x64 installation) and a perfectly working internet connection.

Halo app shuts down right after reaching main screen (Welcome Spartan screen).
This happens when the Halo app is installed with and without Halo 5: Forge.
If both the Halo app and Halo 5: Forge is installed, Halo 5: Forge will try to start the Halo app.
This will cause the Halo app issue and also prevent Halo 5: Forge to start.
If I then uninstall the Halo app, then Halo 5: Forge will run without any issues
The App reset function doesn’t help or change any thing.

Try uninstalling the halo app then launching Halo 5 Forge separately. It just asks you to sign on with your account when you hit the main menu. This worked well for me.
