Halo Announcer Needs To Chill In Halo 5

The Halo Multiplayer Announcer Jeff Steitzer has gotten a little more manic with the release of each new game in the series. In CE he sounds very calm and chill, almost like he’s stoned. In Halo 2 and 3 he sounds a little bit more excited about what’s going on in the game, and in Reach he’s a little more excited than that. But in Halo 4, he took his enthusiasm to a whole new level, almost shouting his lines (Kingtacular! Overshield!), and he sounds pretty much the same in H2A (YOU have the BOMB!), and in the H5 beta, which I really don’t care for. I just wish that he would calm down a bit and go back to the 2/3 manner of announcing in Halo 5, but I know that 343i wants to put their own spin on things, and it’s too late in any case. But whatever, I’m kinda nitpicking here, I’m really psyched for Halo 5. :)

He did.

After playing the beta, I went back to Halo 2 Anniversary and thought “good lord man, quit yelling at me!”

It’s still more enthusiastic than in Reach, but not as bad as in H4, which I think is a good middle ground.

I agree.
I think they need to tone it down a little, it’s a bit exaggerated now with all the screaming.

He’s supposed to announce things I might have missed, not things I already know, he’s too obvious.

I think they said something about tuning down the announcements in their beta feedback blog.

Lmao sooo true. I like jump when he talks sometimes.

When I heard the Halo 5 multiplayer announcer say “5 minutes remain” I thought he sounded like Murphy from Sealab 2021.

“SLAYER! ELIMINATE THE ENEMY TEAM TO SCORE POINTS!”

No way, I’ve never thought about it that way before! Thanks for reminding me to do pewpew at the enemy team!
