Halo: Anniversary or Saints Row the Third?

Halo: Anniversary
Pros: HD upgrade of a classic. Co-op Play over Live, 7 new maps for Reach. Great value for $40.
Cons: I really don’t see myself playing Reach that much, now that I have BF3. I already have it pre-ordered, but the bonus is meh.

Saints Row the Third
Pros: Pure, arcade fun. Co-op Play. Great pre-order bonus. Lots of minigames.
Cons: Reviews of the last few games have been pretty good, but spotty. I’ve never played a Saints Row game, and can’t vouch for the quality. Full $60 price.

Option 3
Save the money, don’t buy either one.

I posted this on the Flood earlier. By posting it here, I’m basically asking you to convince me that Halo: Anniversary is worth it.

Note: I plan on getting both eventually. But it’s possible the one I don’t choose will be delayed.

Save up for the Armageddon edition of Halo 4 which will probably set you back a couple grand :stuck_out_tongue:

Not at all interested in Halo 4.

New graphics with new effects (dust, waves ect)
Achievements
Kinect feature
library
7 new maps ($20 dollar value)
New sounds
remastered music
Access to xbox menu
Co-op
16:9 aspect ratio
Terminals
Skulls
cut scenes redone
Higher frame rate
Higher resolution

This won’t be biased at all. It’s not like we’re on a website dedicated towards Halo or even in a Halo CEA forum on that website now.

goobot: All those reasons can be narrowed down to what I already said. Namely: a remake with some added features (Terminals and Skulls) and a map pack.

randomrosso93: I acknowledged this. I want people in this forum to convince me about H:A.

Saints Row games can be a lot of fun. Which game you buy ultimately boils down to how big of a Halo fan you are. Because unless you don’t have any special reason to want CEA, ultimately you’re going to have much more fun playing Saints Row.

That’s my honest answer, in the end, it’s up to you.

Skyrim.

That is all.

THIS!!!

Your choice. We ain’t going to cry or care if you don’t buy it.

Honestly if that is how you feel about CEA then you probably shouldn’t buy it. You obviously don’t care about the effort being put into it and you obviously don’t care about reliving some of the greats Halo moments with remastered sound and visuals so then why would you spend money on it if you don’t care about any of the things that it offers?

my bro is asking the same thing, i am a true halo fan so i would any day say halo, but i have played saints row 1 and 2 before and i have to admit you will probably have more fun playing that and not a remake.

Not this!!!
but seriously, I’ve said countless times to my friends that they should remake some halo games with the new graphics and engines. now they did it. the gameing experience that got me into gaming is coming back! with ( a possible crappy) MP, with new graphics, with skulls, with terminals!
how can you even consider BF3 over CEA? I would chose CEA even If I lost whats left of my sanity…

CEA and SR2. Costs you about the same as SR3 would.

Skyrim kids already here… Remember Oblivion? Yeh, nuff said.

Okay. Well my opinion is staying the same as it was on Bungie.net

Halo CEA. Saints Row is a terrible game.

Yeah, it really depends on how big of a Halo fan you are. Any dedicated Halo fan that originated from when CE was released should see this remake as an instant buy. Saints Row, it’s fun and chaotic, which is the point. If you’re looking for a great, crazy time, I would say Saints. But if you’re looking for a trip down nostalgia lane, then CEA should be the game. All the extras are just bonuses to attract more fans.

Honestly, it really depends on the person. It’s hard to judge which one if you have no history with either of them. Especially since these are two totally different styles.

both for me.
