So in Halo 1 Anniversary we were able to shout a command into the kinect and it would scan the in game inviornment for objects and such, does that still work in MCC?
I suspect that this has been removed, in MCC there is no menu to read the description of each object in the library.
Yeh guess the feature being removed does sort of make sense since it didn’t do too well and Microsoft have sort of been slowing phasing it out. I wouldn’t be surprised if future gen consoles remove all Kinect compatibility. Even seen some kinect games get remastered with kinect features removed with controller input added in.

It’s phased out. Microsoft isn’t supporting it anymore. With the One S/X you were forced to buy an adapter that Microsoft didn’t bother to make a lot of so they sold quickly. That alone was the last nail in the coffin. Series X doesn’t support it.

Sure seems it, though it still has it’s uses since it’s been moving more towards PC since I believe it’s supposed to be useful for games design for things like animation but not sure, anyway it’s something I should probably look more into sometime.
But a Library in general, like what Wars 2 has, would be nice for newcomers. Every mission would have atleast one entry, vehicles for the differences in models like the M808 to the M812 Scorpion, or simply places like Voi, Delta Halo, or Reach. Even those findable data pads in Reach would be re-readable within this menu. Same with ODST’s audiologs.
I completely forgot kinect even had any functionality in cec

This is something I’ve seen requested to be added to MCC in the future.
Perhaps it’ll happen after all the important bug and feature updates.

Honestly, it was pretty useless IMO. Just telling kinect to throw grenades, reload the guns, etc. You can do it faster in the game than telling the Xbox to do it for you. The scanning feature was neat but I never found a real use for it.

Wtf there was voice functionally over a fraction if a seconds to hit a button?
-Yoink- now i wanna see if a run through exists of using just the kinect for the face buttons

Doesnt even need to be a speed run, heck ill take an easy runthrough xD Only the sticks and the triggers are allowed, literally everything else is voice only

I’d love to see that as well. People come up with the weirdest ways to complete games. For example, take Sekiro. I haven’t played it myself, but I hear it’s a hard game. I had a good laugh and was thoroughly impressed when I learned someone completed it using only Donkey Kong bongos.

If you either do this or find someone who has, and it’s recorded, let me know. lol sounds oddly entertaining.
