I recently replayed Ocarina of Time, and something that struck me was how similar it was to Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Or, to be precise, vice versa.
Let’s examine the evidence, shall we?
Both games begin with an old guy talking with a sparkly blue female person about a certain pressing danger. At the orders of the old guy, a green-clad hero is awakened. The green-clad hero then pairs up with the blue person and goes looking for a weapon.
Presently, the hero and the blue person find themselves in a large open grassy place. Together they embark on an epic adventure, during which they spend an inordinate amount of time looking for keys. On their adventure, they fight many enemies, including lizard men, armoured giants, zombies, and ghosts, with a large variety of weapons, such as bombs and shooty things. The green hero uses shields for defence and frequently meets a huge bird who gives him lifts.
The final boss is a large warthog that causes everything to explode, and the green-clad hero and his sparkly blue platonic female friend escape just in the nick of time.
The similarities are astounding! Did you really think you’d get away with this, 343?

The fact that you took the time to think of this…To even notice the similarities between the two games, astounds me. I…I’m laughing even as I type this because I now realize that it’s true…
BUT. There’s a flaw with this…
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was just that. A 10-year anniversary of a game that came out in 01. You can’t say that Halo: CEA copied Zelda: Ocarina of Time! The CORRECT way to say it would be:
“Halo: Combat Evolved copied Ocarina of Time!” (As Halo came out in 01, so it’d be Bungie’s fault. Not 343i.
Even then, I don’t think that was where Bungie got the idea…
So silly, OP. You forgot to mention that both got a beautiful revamp, nothing changed but the graphics… Except for those story enhancing elements…(Halo got new terminals, Zelda got the Sheikah Stones).
I’m sorry, but this post just made me laugh hysterically. CEA is CE which was release back in 2001, and Ocarina of Time was released way later. There was no copying at all.

I think it was a joke, but if it wasn’t that’s pretty sad.
