HALO ANNIVERSARY CO OP DELAY

Dear halo fans,
today i was playing halo anniversay co op,
its gives heavy delay on the player who not host’s
is this only my problem, or other people got this too,

I’m having the same problems. Kinda weird since the guy i’m playing with lives like 30 min away.

Yea i feel the same way… Oh well at least it isn’t laggy on system link.

Chances are they just tweaked the engine until they could keep things from desyncing and left it at that; decent netcode more or less requires a full reconstruction of an engine, and that costs money.

My only problem with it being laggy is that they kinda advertised the online coop as a new feature. While it is a new feature and it kinda works. It still sucks that you can’t make it work when people live that close to you :frowning:

I’ve been having the same issue, whoever’s not host as a slight lag. Because of this, for me at least, it makes playing co-op unbearable because that lag drives me crazy. I believe it’ll fix itself over time, Halo 3, Reach, and ODST all did.

Same here. The input lag is so severe it makes me nauseous because the screen is not moving when I expect it to, not to mention the inability to aim precisely.

yeah me to cant really play coop lag is to bad.very disappointed

Halo games have always done this with campaign and firefight since halo 3 campaign co-op. They HAVE to fix this if firefight or online co-op are going to be fun.

Do you guys even double check to see if your router or modem ports are forwarded and opened correctly?

It’s in both of your connections that determine your lag, not the game’s fault (unless it happens in split-screen too.)

its no lagg!

My friend and I keep lagging out and are unable to revert to a checkpoint. We lagged out of “Pillar of Autum” 3 times and lagged out of “Halo” at the very end of the level.

I have the same problem too.
Switching to old graphics helps some but not enough.

Anyone else experiencing lag out issues? Or do you know of any way after you lag out you can start at the nearest checkpoint instead of starting the whole level over which is getting very old. -.-

Do you have open NAT everyone?!!

Had no real problems with co-op lag (after I realized my PC was hogging the bandwidth). Started playing with a friend at 1030 this morning (GMT) for about 6 hours. Check if anyone else/thing is using your bandwidth,!
