Halo Anniversary achievements - problem

I have been playing some of the Anniversary lists the past couple of days to score the achievements.

I believe I have fulfilled the requirements for some of the achievements a few times now but they are not popping.

Specifically -

Infection be the Last Man Standing
I get the medal for last man standing but not the achievement in this game

Get a beatdown medal while jetpacking - I’ve done this loads of times now - the Firebird medal comes up and the beatdown medal but no achievement

Honestly I don’t like playing infection. I really, really, really don’t. My k/d was 2.33 overall and it is dropping badly as I don’t like the gametype and the continued Infection / Betrayal issue is still there. Infection is so unbalanced, so broken.

I hate using Jetpack also. The only MM medals I have ever earned for the AA are due to trying to get this achievement.

Honestly I think I am going to boost these achievements due to the failure of the MM system to recognize something I have achieved. I know then I will probably be banned but I am sick of it.

Infection Problem: It was on an Anniversary map not a Defiant.

Jetpack Problem: It needs to be a classic back smack. Meaning a Halo 3 type assassination not a Halo: Reach one

I think this means there’s only 1 map in the entire game I can get the Infection achievement - Condemned. Interesting design choice as the penetration of DLC in the game and lack of DLC restrictions means it is begging to be boosted.

Achievements should not be tied to maps in this way.

I agree. You boost the cheevos, you get booted. You try to play fair and you never get the maps you need. This really was a big fail on 343 as far as i am concerned. It’s zapping the fun out as I have to run around NOT shooting someone HOPING someone will stick me so MAYBE I can run up to them.

Dumb Luck isn’t an achievement, and making them that way almost feels like a slap in the face of those that work hard to play fair and better their game.
