Halo and Prestiging

Yesterday I was reading a post about a new system that once you hit the highest level you can re-enlist and choose a new specialization…really 343?

After what everyone has been saying about Halo becoming a COD you were sitting there and thought “Hey know what would be a good idea that I’m sure all the Halo fans would love? Prestiging!” Come on 343 I expected better…

Unless this post was legitimate or even convincing, ignore it. The ranking system and what it consists of is far from being confirmed yet.

It’s good for people who play a lot, and rank up often. And I never heard them confirm this.

> It’s good for people who play a lot, and rank up often.

So your saying that once you get to the highest level you feel the strong urge to restart everything and do it all over again?

There is no Prestige.

I love your logic.

  1. I was reading a post
So by reading a post that is not by 343 you take their word for it?
  2. everyone has been saying
Nop they havent, just stupid peopel are. Hey Cod is futuristic, its copying halo
  3. "Hey know what would be a good idea that I’m sure all the Halo fans would love? Prestiging!
Again we dont even know that this feature exist, and if it does, how it works.
Come on DarkCullen I expected better

Someone came up to me and said that it would not work like a prestige system.

Where he got his facts from I do not know, but we haven’t heard enough of it to assume how it will exactly work.

what they were referring to wasn’t prestiging, apparently its somewhat similiar to what an RPG game would do progression wise.

you take certain routes progression wise instead of say just have a one-way type of experience setup like we have in reach.

I’m not 100% sure about it either but I’m sure you will be eased once we gather more information about the subject.

U mad? My point is, dont draw conclusions yet. From the moment 343 started talking about halo 4, websites/gaming people has misinterpreted what 343 said. Just wait and Franky/343 will clear it all up. If it then, is a prestigeish sytem, feel free to rage. But dont rage over something a website I never have hear about posted

That sounds interesting, so it appears they will NOT be including prestige.

Thank you very much for the information.

And just to add to this…I read it and it sounds nothing like Prestigeing…and I know fully what Prestigeing is. This sounds more like, after you reach max rank, you can go into a certain class to continue ranking up…at least, that’s what it sounds like to me
(Note: nothing I said has been confirmed by 343i.)

the way a few people have described it is that you get challanges done of some sort and when you ge to the highest level you can chose to reset and get something new. so kind of like red dead redemption and being able to get golden guns and new mounts. i think. idk im tired and cant think proberly

the way I interpreted it was that it was somewhat like the skill trees you see in diablo and skyrim. you enlisted in a certain class of your liking then after you’ve completed unlocking everything in that class you can re-enlist (keyword) in another one. I guess this system was a way to give casuals the stuff they want quicker without removing any of the time it would take a veteran player to unlock everything.

Does that mean there will be a book in which you can boost your level?

jk
