Halo and Ladders

When I read Precipitasian’s post, it reminded me of something. Back in Halo 3 on Tsavo Highway where you find the skull on the cliff type thing. Remember the ladder there, coming down from the highway? And how when you went up or down you character still appeared to be walking straight but going up/down somehow? Halo Reach didn’t have any ladders right? Do you think ladders should play apart in Halo again? Like bringing them back but also adding the ‘ladder movements’ if you will? Or do you guys not like ladders?

Personally I like ladders, but I think they’re pointless if you don’t have the ‘ladder movements’. It looks pretty dumb without them.

So, what are your thoughts?

Doesn’t really matter since halo reach itself doesn’t support ladders, maybe in halo 4.

I don’t really see a point in ladders. Halo is more of a platformer in that sense. Anywhere that there were ladders in multiplayer, characters could get on top and hold the position indefinitely.

If there are human levels then sure. Alien levels should always have really unique stuff. Actually scratch that because pretty much every Halo1 map had ladders on forerunner constructs.
