CoD and Halo War
Ok, the war between Halo and CoD has been around forever and honestly, everyone has their opinions regarding which game is better of the two. Well throwing in KEY points could definately make your points valid but if you cant do that then you might as well shut up.
Value points of the two game series is to everyone’s opinion’s and likings, for me i would choose Halo any day over CoD, simply because of all the things Halo has to offer unlike CoD. So now im going to go into detail on why i think Halo is a better game/FPS than CoD.
First off, Forge, its been around since Halo 3 an allowed players to create their own MASSIVE levels and ideas, and then try them out with friends or eve have it thrown into the greta ol’ Bungie Favs. For as CoD doesnt and never will provide such great excellence. Halo’s Forge has been improved in Reach and probably will be even better in Halo 4. CoD never have a map editor and never will since they are stuck on a stupid simple -Yoink- game design, that to their points of view doesnt need improving or to make the gameplay better and more entertaining.
Halo has the ability to FULLY customize your Spartan’s look, everything could be replaced with something else, the helmet, shoulder pads, knee pads, chest piece, wrist, and even had Armor effect which added alittle more of a lovely taste to the game, and even on the battlefield. CoD only implied, skins for your stupid character and thus nothing new, and the face paint never did anything, so overall thats lame. The perks were the only things that changed the look of the character and actually did something within the match, if Halo implied the same with ALL the different armors it had, then Halo would be something else and im sure there would be issues. Oh and CoD allowed skins covers for your weapon which was an ok addition but no, dont care. As for emblem, so what, nothing interesting about it, and clans, whats the point if the clans cant do anything? In Halo 2 you had clan wars and that was amazing! CoD, nope, didnt have it.
The weapons, which were some of the things people complained about because there werent anything new, well Halo provided different weapons indeed and kept some of the same one’s they had from the past. It was a fight for the power weapons in Halo which made it interesting. CoD had it where you can start out with power weapons, which overall is stupid because what is the fun in that, if you cant fight for the weapon everyone wants. Also what isnt fun if you cant hammer someone around the map?
Vehicle use is what made Halo, Halo. The Warthog, Wraith, Mongoose, etc. It allowed players to move around the map, if they wanted to, i also provided great ways for gametypes and map variants. CoD never allowed the player use a vehicle unless you got it within a killstreak, but even that only had a time limit. Halo you dont have to worry about that, you can forever drive all you want!
The gameplay between the two is something i have heard for awhile now, people tell me CoD is more fast pace than Halo and then the other way around. Honestly the flow of the game is depending on what your playing, and i felt that they both were pretty fast paced to me, the destruction and bodies flying is one thing i love having whenever fighting people. So its a draw there. Halo actually needs the player to aim and learn the map and know their way around it in order to have map control. CoD doesnt take that much skill because a few hits and your dead, even whenever your behind cover, somehow someone still kills you. (The enemy NOT having hardline equipped), none the less CoD also deals with whoever has the better connection will win, which in my case is a load of -Yoink!- BS!! I could sit there in CoD and fire a WHOLE clip into you and not kill you, how? Well since the game is based on “hit markers” whenever you fire your gun at someone and hit them, the connection and firing machanics of the game are flawed by far. Unlike on Halo you know whenever you hit them because of the shield. It flickers, but at times it has its moments but not like CoD which is just a joke.
The story is something i loved. Halo provided the player with what happened and how the Human - Covenant War started and even so they are still contining it in Halo 4. The story felt great and had amazing feelings, the music, and graphic and AI, just everything made it something i can play over and over. CoD had different stories and honestly after playing a few i didnt like it and i didnt feel anything coming from them after playing them.
Overall with me i think Halo just beats CoD, but i guess people have their opinions and rather play a game that doesnt require skill honestly, because they are afriad of getting owned
