Halo Airbrushed XBox, anything worth??

Hi there, I’m new to this board :slight_smile: I came here to ask for some advice from Halo fans.

In my days when I was in training as a retail salesman I was lucky enough to get invited to a Xbox (the original one) training by Microsoft held with many other salesmen. After the training we had to solve a quiz to check out how good we remember everything that the training staff told us. The 4 best salesmen were asked to compete in a Smash Bros-like game, something about Kung Fu, I forgot its title.

Someone from the staff didn’t think it was necessary to explain all the controls so he said “Just press A to punch!” or something like that. So we were all just punching each other in the game and it looked like everyone had a good chance to win. Don’t know about the others, but I couldn’t resist to press other buttons than A… so in all that short time of one match I tried to figure out whats most effective and (from what I remember now) I ended up kicking everyone out, resulting in a WIN!

The best thing is, Microsoft promised that the winner would get an exclusive airbrushed XBox as a prize. So the staff got my address and after about two month I really got the Xbox they promised.
I was really excited, as I was like… 16 years old at that time and hadn’t had a Xbox yet (I was a real Nintendo Fanboy till then).

Anyway, I was so proud of my Xbox, I kept it and treasured it with other rare items I collected.

Now I’m 26 years old. I’m about to take more responsibility in my life soon. My old room with all those games and consoles I collected has been repainted and setup from scratch. Of course a lot of things (not only games, but also magazines, letter and memories) had to leave and either put in the basement, be thrown away or being sold on ebay.

So there’s my Xbox with this Airbrush and I wonder… is it anything worth to Halo fans? On one hand I really wanna keep it but on the other hand its not like I am ever gonna plug my old xbox again.

Anyway I’ve said enough, check out the picture by yourself… and what you think its worth if I would sell it?

Welcome to the community OP, my opinion would be to keep it. That Xbox is a beauty! But if you do decide to sell it I would say that it is worth alot. Just look at the Bungie charity event that was hosted a few months back. There are some true dedicated fans out there that would love to have that.

That’s the coolest Xbox I’ve seen.

Anyway, the Xbox wasn’t unused (as somebody asked here). Also I havent got any original box the xbox came with (which looked like a regular Xbox though), so its just the console, two controllers etc…

Thank you guys, as you can see I decided to sell it and its about to end. It looks like it is already going a little better than I first expected. Whatever the final price will be, I’m fine with that. ^^
