It’s been years since I’ve read any fanfics, but I’ll follow it.
Most fanfics I used to see kind of skipped over the “years of hostility” by starting either decades after the war or by just ignoring their existence altogether. I don’t think I’ve ever read one that treated the hostility as a problem to be solved, and that suggested some ideas towards solving it.
I was looking at what 343i was doing, backtracking on the whole ‘alliance’ thing with the former covenant for the sake of gameplay (which, I disagree with that practice completely, as I see the lore AND the gameplay as equal in importance). I wanted to experiment and attemtpt to solve that issue.
I also want to work in some of my own ideas of neat things I’ve dreamt up for the Halo universe, of which you’ll see starting in the next chapter.
My primary calling in life is a game developer; but writing is a close second, so it’s fun to intermix the two. It makes for some fun results!
