Halo: A Fistful Of Arrows is it canon?

Please 343 Industries this comic is by far a great asset to the universe… and should be confirmed as canon… This way it can be used for referencing and sourced… Please BS Angel or B is for Bravo… or even the moderators… find out if this is canon?

No, is not canon. So far, best HALO comics ever. 343i has hired a lot community members, but not Leviathan, their fail.

It’s a Fan comic

It VERY good though

all 343 can do is Buy it, Publish it and by so making it canon.

I just read Fist Full of Arrows, and I have to say it is the best Halo comic I’ve ever read.

The depth to the story, the accuracy, the level of detail is astounding!

I also loved the extra bits at the end explaining the OCs and the death of Kalmiya. It definitely puts Doctor Halsey into perspective and her relationships with Spartans and AIs.

Anyone who hasn’t read it, I highly recommend it.

Check it out here if you haven’t. Jun’s death would conflict with existing canon. 343i should hire him to do comics.

First issue for a couple of bucks or so.

Wasn’t his survival/death left open ended?

Nope, he was confirmed alive in Initiation I think. Some sort of recent comic.

I think he was referring to Jun’s fate in Fist of Arrows.

I was referring to FFoA

Yes, I know Jun is canonically alive via Initiation.

It was certainly open ended, that was such a good comic

Sure, it was open-ended, but it would make explaining how Jun got off the planet a ton harder than otherwise. Right now they can just say that he left with everyone else, and Halsey stayed behind to initiate Operation White Glove. If Fistfull of Arrows is made canon, the explanation gets quite a bit more complicated.

Or, on the other hand, the explanation for Jun’s escape could become far more badass. Jun single-handily captures a Covenant Spirit/Phantom, docks in a Covenant cruiser, destroyer, or carrier (though the last one is stretching it a bit), and manages to take control of the Covenant ship, before setting a randomized course to slipspace jump around for a bit before returning to UNSC controlled space.

That or he just got unexpectedly picked up by someone in the ffa frenzy just before glassing reach. Or he meets another bad–Yoink- character (known one or new) that was left on reach but not confirmed KIA that the loremakers want to get of reach and elaborate about in further stories.
The explanation would be more difficult but it would be so much more enriching to the halo universe!

No. The Fistful of Arrows is a fan-made comic. But I admit that frist time I’ve read it, I was amazed because its plot was perfect. Nevertheless, it cannot become cannon since cannonically Jun’s alive and he was one of the founders of the Spartan-IV Program.

It can become canon if 343 wants it to and has a discussion with Levi where they come to some kind of agreement about doing so. As far as I know, this would be the first case of Asceneded Fanon (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AscendedFanon?from=Main.SureWhyNot) in the Halo universe. Halo’s overdue for some ascended fanon, and I can’t think of a better candidate then A Fistful of Arrows.
