Halo a Dream For Many Goodbye.

“Many of you wont read this but those who do thanks for your time”

When i first got a 360 console it came with a bunch of games and ya know it was cool and all but then i heard of a game called “Halo 3” i bought that game a few weeks after with the pocket money i saved, i was 11 or so at the time , I bought that game not because of the amazing effects and the awesome loadouts, I bought Halo 3 because it took “Skill” Something i wanted to perfect i wanted to be good at something ( Come on i was 11 i didnt have much i was good at nor alot of friends ) i wanted to get good at halo and maybe one day join an ACL Team (Australian Cyber Leauge) Team and possibly get good enough to play against MLG Pro’s from America.

I know it was just a dream, The Raw skill involved in Halo 3 was amazing, I couldn’t stop playing it, Every weekend Every Night After School! I played sure i was just a spartan with a messed up K/D and a low rank i think my highest was 18 or so i know i wasn’t great but i enjoyed the game and i was proud to say "Halo 3 is the best game ever its not even a game its just … its amazing.

Years past reach was out didnt like it the start with but i good good at it, I met alot of people from H3 And Reach and dedicated most of my life to Halo like many keen players did, I dont regret a thing, Im still proud to put reach or halo 3 in and play.

But recently i heard that Halo 4 has been wiped from MLG, Im not hear to cry and complain im just kinda upset i feel that You )343( Could have done better i have lost all my faith for you guys and i honestly dont think ill buy another “Halo” title again, My dream is over and i just have to adopt another one.

Halo was more then a game i met ALOT of Players and had alot of great times with them many who i still speak to, I mean come on Halo was not just a “Game” It was my life it was a community it was a thing to enjoy, I still enjoy the odd custom game on H3 Or Reach with some old friends (Sadly many of them had the same dream i did) And left so i don’t speak to some of them anymore as they have just moved on like i eventually will.

343 You shattered my dream I trusted you guys to make halo 4 amazing like all the others were, Not just a game but community wise also, What did you do? You just made " A Game " just a bunch of pixels and nothing more, Here is a helpful tip of advice for you guys.

If you make HALO 5 dont make just a damm game of the century i personally couldnt care less if it has the best grahpics or the newest flashy guns, I am happy with just Halo back, THE OLD HALO Where everyone gets the Phrase “Halo More Then A Game”.

I Dont know what else to say .

I appreciate your disappointment, but surely claiming to want ‘Old Halo’ back is a bit redundant considering your first Halo game was Halo 3.

It’s just a video game, what’s with all the drama? Halo 4 isn’t the greatest so instead of crying I am just playing something else.

That’s as far as I got in your post.

whats funny is that for every fan that writes out these long goodbye hundreds more leave all the time without a word.

FOr the people that dismiss xbl activity rankings, thats what they represent, fans leaving.

EDIT: Wrong thread. Sorry.

And i’m quoting your quote which was quoted by you and then quoted by this guy -Yoink- yeah!!!

Seriously though… why did this guy quote himself in the OP?

Because this guy is obviously Chuck -Yoinking!- Norris so he just can dude he just can lol.

Of course, if you want to look at things from a ‘glass is half empty’ point of view.
They also show there is a wider range of games being played, and not everyone plays only Halo anymore. Those same rankings show Halo 4 having been bought and played by more people in it’s 2 month lifespan, than bought and played Minecraft with it’s 8 month lifespan.

Whoops, forgot the link :

You see, a lot of people don’t know what Halo used to be because their first game was Reach or 4.

Reach was a step in the wrong direction. 4 just capitalized on Reach’s deviation from the classic, original, and unique Halo formula.

It’s blatantly obvious why Halo 4 is the way it is. 343i and -Yoink!- know that COD is successful. They thought Halo 4 would be popular if it borrowed key COD features that gamers are already familiar with.

This is how we know that the Halo franchise is being milked.

It started with Reach. Now, it’s getting progressively worse.

Maybe in Halo 5 we can have laser sights and silencers for our DMRs and Rapid Fire for our Suppressors. Maybe we can even have Pelicans fly over the maps doing the killing for us. Even better, if the Infinity rained down vehicle ordnance after players get generic DMR kills on an Exile remake.

Oh, the possibilities.

Yes because Halo wasn’t a popular enough franchise with a fanbase that has been expanding for 10 years to begin with.

What a joke to compare the two

Agreed.

So you bought a game you had only heard about a few weeks earlier because it took skill? RIIIIIIIIIIGHT.

-> Just recently got into Black Ops 2 and I’m loving it! Mind you significant improvements have been made by 343 such as the new forge playlist which does feature some good maps. What startles me is how community members are better than making maps than 343! Still keeping off Halo for now though, even good maps can’t fix broken game mechanics.

I honestly hate posts where it starts with a life story, giving reasons why older halo’s were better, and then bash on Halo 4 and the devs.

If you’re disappointed in something like Halo 4, state your reasons for not liking the game, your top concerns (down to the very specifics of what you’re arguing), why you feel they should be changed and to what you think it should be changed backed up with a coherent argument (without resorting to bashing), and then maybe we can start discussing what changes should or should not be done to this game.

343 didn’t shatter your dreams… Bungie began it’s downfall with Reach.
