Halo needs the competitive edge again. This starts with a dedicated ranking system in order to separate skill. Not only does it separate skill, but over time allows players to get better. Halo 3 had booster accounts that allowed people to get there 50s in 15 games as long as you won everyone and a lot of people complained but Halo 3 still had tons of people that played and actually loved the game because of the competition. Ya shots would not register a lot but that is a part of the game sometimes (lag). The current ranking system needs to go. Halo 3 or Halo 2s ranking system needs to return. The battle rifle for MLG needs to be primary. Halo is not halo without the BR and we all accepted that with halo 2, probably the greatest game that will ever be made. I could hop on halo 2 and just go to customs and bounce out of the map with my buddies and do that for hours. Stop trying to make so many changes for what you guys think is cool. As a matter of fact put up a vote for what the primary gun should be or allow discussion for the ranking system. The onyx, silver,gold etc is very lame and does not separate skill at all. People don’t even use mics anymore to call out. Halo 4 and 5 were a huge disappoint. Let’s make halo great again. Competitive gameplay with a structured 1-50 ranking system and the Battle rifle as primary. Leave social gameplay for the spontaneous gameplay.
