What do you guys think 343 should do better next time? (lets make this constructive criticism guys, not hate)
Personally I think No more misleading adds
Delay the game a couple months if all the modes arent included

Take the req system and make it like Reach micro transactions are still fine with me
Keep the good, get rid of the bad, bring old things back, introduce new things (carefully), and don’t mess up the story. That’s all I got to say.
Edit:
Actually one more thing: stop removing features!
Here’s what I wan’t:
-Bring split-screen back (I’m pretty sure they were working on that for 6)
-Better campaign story
-Keep multiplayer weapon balance
-More entertaining, different boss fights
-Release the game with all modes and features, additional maps and weapons can be added in updates
-Return customization to old method
-Make modes other than campaign available offline
-Better armor designs (less stuff like Seeker)
I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to do these, as 343 won’t have to spend as much time building the game engine, and they will be able to work better with the engine due to having done more work on it.
Campaign wise: halo 6 will follow the general plot of h3. (Just like CE/4 and 2/5)
Multiplayer wise: h6 will improve upon the h5 features and mechanics.
as for the finer details, I don’t want to know. I rather be hyped on concrete evidence and new experiences rather than setting my expectations higher than the game.
-Bring split-screen back, even if it can’t run at 60 fps while it’s being used (no one who would use it cares about frame rate anyway)
-Replace Brian Reed with someone else to write Halo 6’s story, and stop using outside media as crutches for context
-Use the classic trilogy as inspiration for campaign level design. Less linear, more open-world style missions and vehicular combat
-Make more than one boss (looking at you, Warden)
-Introduce social playlists that do not affect stats, this will keep sweaty stat-padders out
-Bring back playable Elites
-Adopt Reach’s credit system to replace the REQ system
-Overhaul Warzone
Honestly, 343 can surprise me with Halo 6.

The only thing with “introduce new things” and “stop removing features” is, how big are these going get eventually?
Look at it like this:
[“slayer” includes all standard competitive & social gamemodes]Halo 3: campaign, slayer, btb, forge, theater
Reach: campaign, slayer, btb, firefight, forge, theater
Halo 4: campaign, slayer, btb, spartan ops, forge, theater
Halo 5: campaign, slayer, btb, warzone, firefight, forge, theater
Halo 6: campaign, slayer, btb, warzone, firefight, forge, theater [new halo 6 thing].
Halo 7: campaign, slayer, btb, warzone, firefight, forge, theater, [new halo 6 thing], [new halo 7 thing].
See what I mean? And sure, they can hire more people to pump the game out in time, but the concern is, if you have so much packed in there, and the game fails to hold a sizable population for very long, you have a massive ghost town very quickly (ever try to get a CE match in the MCC on a Tuesday a 7 in the morning?) everyone is spread too thin. So you wind up two problems, (1) ridiculous search times, and (2) a ranking system with parameters so wide to compensate in order to fill the lobby that it’s virtually useless.
Unless those new features are offline PvE modes with online options (like Spartan Ops, but better), that’d be awesome. But those are my concerns.
just curious, why do people like playable elites in multiplayer

u wort wort wot, m8?
-Split screen co-op and multi player
-no more clever ideas about turning heroes to villains ie: cortana
-Bring back firefight from Reach
do not introduce new halo lore, there is enough halo marrtial out there without 343 making stuff up as they go along, ie: guardian’s
use a professinal story writer to improve campaign story line
either get rid of theatre mode or fix it. Halo reach theatre was brilliant
if new characters are introduced, expand on them, we have spartan legends in blue team but hardly any info on them within the game. Good thing I have read a few of the books
They should have a 3 pillar approach to multiplayer: 8v8 BTB (as opposed to warzone), 4v4 arena (competitive stuff) and social games (infection , action sack, grifball). They need to hit the ground hit a fair few modes on release, as well as a large amount of maps. I think for this setup, 6 BTB, 10 arena would be best. Warzone should be a scaled up firefight, but without reqs. Armour customisation will be like reach. I would genuinely consider the current system for movement to be great, so that would stay the same, or be toned down to base movement plus clamber. Weapon wise, just gotta be careful to keep then balanced like we have now.
More focus on Chief (which would mean more epic missions)
More maps
REQs here to stay but with some more armor unlocks from both legacy, single player or co-op campaign and spartan company tasks.
A few more vehicles
MORE GAME MODES
If they simply grow on Halo 5, I will be happy with a good 6.

Id rather not wait 6 extra months longer for a finsihed product. I mean we still got no infection…
Don’t deny access to main weapons of the game for Warzone game types through the slow process of req packs.
I’d like to see:
-A non-dynamic engine with 1080p 60FPS return just so that people who want splitscreen can actually play splitscreen.
-No Brian Reed.
-REQs system kept but Mythics become commendation completion rewards and 3 types of the B,S,G packs for Mixed Items (current packs), Cosmetics Only, and Weapon/Vehicle certifications Only (specifics packs should have an increased price of 500 points, that way there’s still a reason to get Mixed). Current prices should be kept.
-I hope playable Elites may come in Halo 5 but still… Halo 6 (I don’t play as an elite but for variety’s sake).
(-with Elites, there should be, Spartan/Elite only Ranked Arena gametypes, Spartans and Elites in Warzone and casual gametypes, and Spartans and Elites in custom games)
-(I want this for Halo 5 as well) Extended Under Suit customization that allows you to change Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Colours (Ranked Arena would keep default colours minus FFA, Casual and Warzone would keep player choice).
-I JUST NEED BLACK WEAPON SKINS (for Halo 5 too)!!!
That’s it.
To everyone asking for Reach styled customization, it won’t happen unless they take out Warzone. The reason Warzone effects this is because of possible model overloads. Have you seen how the Marines are all the same, and how weapons and vehicles de-spawn quicker than in other gametypes? And between the two, I want Warzone more.
Maybe if they made armor variants have different attachments, and then separated armor skins like they did with the weapon skins. That could possibly work, right?
Less focus on the Req system. It can still exist, it jut shouldn’t be the foundation of the whole game. Give us more opportunities to have fun without it, add Infection for example or add Firefight as part of Campaign rather than Warzone. I’m getting pretty bored of the fact Warzone is the only way to have a casual game unless you’re going out of your way to find a decent custom.
