Halo 6 will be worse so enjoy halo 5

Now I’m not saying I know this but I have a strong opinion. Look halo 6 will be out no earlier than 2018. By then cod and battlefield and all the other main fps will have advanced with graphics and abilities in the game that halo 6 will have no choice but to compete with them. So my opinion is that halo 6 will be very different with a lot more Spartan abilities and maybe ordinance drop again but more fleshed out than halo 4. And maybe the will or maybe not have split screen. But then again by 2018 the graphics only have to get better with 60fps also. So if they are having trouble now then by 2018 I don’t see split screen happening. Maybe 30fps wich I wouldn’t Mind. Who knows really but I honestly think halo 6 is going to have to evolve just to even compete with everything else that the main core of halo multiplayer will be gone. People didn’t take to halo 4 because of the ordinance and abilities and I think halo 6 will be like that or worse. Anyway I think we won’t see anymore of fight for weapon and control the map. But that’s just my opinion wich means nothing lol. What do you all think?

I wouldn’t doubt it. 343 has manage to continually lower the bar when it comes to Halo releases, I don’t see this changing unless there is a significant change in leadership at the company.

all pure speculation…

Ya that’s why said my opinion wich means nothing

I say wait till it is out before you say anything

You claim to have a strong opinion yet its very loose and based on speculation 2 years from now. OP has no idea what he is going on about at all.

I’m pretty sure the vast majority of the community will agree that 5 > 4.

The logic here does not make any sense. How is split screen in 2018 going to be less possible than it is today? Last time I checked, technology got better with time. Maybe in 2018 they’ll have the technology to have 60 fps and split screen. I for one think split screen is completely over rated. The majority of gamers do online play hence the reason the majority of developers focus on internet online play over split screen. (I realize single player is still a huge portion of gaming and I’m not comparing them with multiplayer. Only comparing the method in which multiplayer takes place)

In all honesty everyone is being over critical of Halo 5 and for you to quickly jump to a crazy opinion on the next Halo when the current Halo has only been out for a couple of months is pretty silly.

In terms of multiplayer game-play? Sure. In terms of campaign, story, launch content, game modes, etc (ie, pretty much everything else) Halo 4 trumps Halo 5.

If it has splitscreen, I would be happy.

I don’t think they’re going to try a Halo 4 again.

Let’s look at the general consensus of their 2 games:

Halo 4:
Campaign: Good
Matchmaking: Bad

Halo 5:
Campaign: Bad
Matchmaking: Good

So I think they know what they need to do to hit Halo 6 out of the park. And heads up, if this turns into a splitscreen thread, we all know what’s going to happen.

Halo 5 is great. I look forward to Halo 6.

… do you remember Halo 4’s launch weapon balance? 5 shot BR? God-DMR? It was pretty sloppy. The Boltshot (a loadout weapon mind you) had a greater kill range than the Shotgun (a map pickup and a power weapon). You could kill someone with a Boltshot from further away than you could with a Shotgun. And you could spawn with a Boltshot. It made the Shotgun pointless. And they didn’t fix it for months. It was bad. Real bad.

EDIT: nevermind, you said “multiplayer game-play” didn’t you? lol. ignore that.

I just like Halo to be honest, I enjoy every game that comes out. I am just a big fan of the game ever since I played the first game and then went out and had my mom buy me a Xbox the next day as a early birthday gift, for me it is really my favorite series and first person shooter. I have never once played COD because Halo has really been everything to me, So I really never -Yoink- or complain about anything wrong with the game whenever a new one comes out, I just enjoy playing it. so when I hear ppl saying “how badly this game is” and the one before that and “the only good game has been halo 3 and everything else has been crap” well then maybe Halo just isn’t your type of game anymore and you should just stick to playing Minecraft and stop complaining on here.

While it would be flat out stupid to try to compete with the competition by doing somethign simialr to them (that’s all Halo has done for 5 years and the sales/pop have only gotten noticably worse), I don’t doubt that they will continue to do this for some reason. That strategy almost never works and it will continue to almost never work.

Halos have been getting progressively better with each new title. So, it should be better.

Halo 4???

Nah… the story is set up to where anything can happen and I feel confident that the outcries with this game will be heard for Halo 6.

Halo 5 is fantastic from a gameplay stand-point… the spawns may be a little jacked and the content may be a little on the weak side in terms of how much there is, but hopefully these issues are addressed going forward.

If you’ve noticed a trend in the gaming industry, it’s not just 343 that has been shipping games with limited content… console games are bigger than ever and I feel like it must be pretty hard to get the games in stable condition with an amount of content that stands up to expectations that have been established from previous console generations. Otherwise it wouldn’t be such a massive, industry-wide epidemic. Thankfully there’s a lot of backlash so developers SHOULD be starting to look for ways to improve their products going forward, and getting a sufficient amount of content into their games… and that is the biggest issue with Halo 5 right now.

From a design stand-point, Halo 5 is a MUCH better game than Halo 4, and I feel that Halo 6 will likely build off of Halo 5, so I’m not too concerned about the future.

I think you are making a lot of assumptions with little to back them up.

halo 4’s design didn’t work as competition to COD and Battlefield, so why would they try it again?

If I had to guess, halo6 will be like halo 5, but with more content.

If 343i have any good sense then they should have it in Halo 6 since they had a lot of backlash when they decided to take it out in Halo 5.

And if you’re not enjoying H5 then you’re just -Yoinked!-.
