If you haven’t already seen the legendary ending yet though I don’t there are a lot stop here. OK so in the legendary it shows a halo ring and cortana humming. I believe she is either going to activate the ring or maybe just maybe unleash what’s on it. What do you guys think?

I would love to fight off the flood with Blue Team/Fireteam Osiris at my side!
She is probably planning on wiping the galaxy clean and then re-populating it, just like the forerunners did. But this time she will be able to govern the galaxy from day 1 as she can just stay in the domain when the rings fire and all the A.I with her would not be affected.
It starts All over with new enemy AI releasing the flood and Halo getting destroyed
I think firing the ring is highly unlikely. In halo 5’s last mission she promised everyone a good life… Killing everybody would pretty much be the opposite.

Sorry to be THAT guy… but we can’t really rely on anything at all until the game comes out. Not their marketing, not any books they release, no audio files, no comics, no interviews… nothing. It can all lead up and amount to absolutely nothing.
BUT if I wasn’t being a pessimistic -Yoink-, I would say that I hope the Flood makes a return. But I don’t think they will. It’ll be all about the “Created” faction.
Let’s take a different route and discuss teams in Halo 6. I really want to see Arbiter team up with the chief again. Or we could have a team led by Arbiter.
How about a longer campaign with Blue Team, Osiris, and an Elite team doing different missions. We could see how master chief is coping, an outside perspective and how this impacts the covenant civil war? Maybe have Osiris slow down Cortana, Blue team look for the librarian and the elite team fighting other elites and brutes; maybe allow for the flood to make a surprise appearance that mucks everything up about 75% of the way through the game. I really doubt that a Gravemind would be happy about AI’s blowing everything to smithereens again.
And yes I know this is probably not going to happen…

Blue team and Osiris as they are. Elite team with arby, shipmaster, palmer and someone else.
Infinity goes to saghelios. It, its 5 frigates and arby’s fleet then team up. Blue team concentrates on the ring and the domain with halsey, to shut down cortana. Osiris and the elite team going world to world taking on the guardians.
Blue team would have better jump, melee, sprint etc being Spartan two’s.
Osiris would have better weapons and shields, thrusters.
Elites would have built in camo, jet pack instead of thruster, strongest shields

My best guess is that she intends to wipe out all life in the universe, similar to what the Forerunners did. Or at least use them as a form of “checkmate” against our heroes if they try to stop her - kind of like “come at me bro, I’ll wipe out your entire race if you act out of line.”
Then, with her flawed logic, AI would reign supreme and could rebuild the galaxy to be “perfect.” No more human error.
Which is an amazing premise since we’re severe underdogs now entering that battle - it’s basically Chief, Blue Team, Arby, Locke, Osiris, Halsey, Palmer, maybe Lasky and Infinity’s crew (plus I’d imagine the Arbiter’s Elites) up against Cortana will control of all AI in the galaxy and several Guardians who alone have the ability to wipe them all out without much effort. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

Dude… This^^^ I won’t try and speculate or think about what is going to happen in Halo 6 until I play the game. I’m so tired of being led on by advertisements that don’t truly represent the game they are advertising for. With all of the story and momentum of Halo 4, Hunt the Truth and the Ads, I thought I knew what kind of story I was going to get in Halo 5. I was wrong. Very wrong. It’s sad that I don’t feel I can take any of the foreshadowing in Halo 5 seriously. Just my opinion though.
She might try to activate the halo ring at the end of the campaign, after blue team and Osiris REQ her.
what we do know is that master chief or fire team osiris will try to stop cortana from activating the ringes and killing all cencent life what if the first halo5 commercial the one with chief wearing the cloak was the start of halo 6 it’s just a theory.
She’d probably use the Halo in conjunction with another Composer of a jury-rigged version of one to compose on a massive scale. The Didact wanted to do that after Halo 4 but was stopped by Chief. Whose to say Cortana couldn’t get the same idea?
