So, whould you mind if the Halo franchise ended with Halo 6 or should it go on, with Halo 7 or spin offs?
I personally wouldn’t mind if it ended and 343i started a new project, maybe a spiritual successor to Halo.
What do you think, should 343i continue to make Halo games, or should they move on and start a new franchise?
Your going to have people in here saying it should have ended with 3 and/or Reach.
It doesn not matter to me how many Halo games they make as long as they are fun and hold my attention.
Well 343i’s entire existence was brought about by Mycrosoft to continue the Halo franchise. I don’t see why they would/should start a new one. I’d be sad if Halo stopped after the next one, but nothing lasts for ever. Honestly though, I don’t see that happening. There’s too much in the Halo universe that can be used to make a fantastic game. Maybe Chief’s story will end with the next game, but I don’t think we’re anywhere near done yet 
Pretty sure they said it would be a saga now, originally it was planned for a trilogy but I remember hearing them say it’d be a saga

I’d like to see the continuation of the Halo universe without necessarily following Chief. Unfortunately, I have zero faith in 343’s ability to (1) create characters that people actually care about, and (2) expand the universe in a meaningful way without drastically changing the art direction to look like Disney Infinity for adults and killing all underlying themes that make Halo special and identifiable.

Continue it in spinoffs like metal gear solid, starring new characters that relate to the original. When chiefs story ends, continue it elsewhere in a different name, like “halo reclaimed”.
The Haloverse is too big for it just to end after Halo 6. Chief’s story can end, but Halo as a whole can continue on.
Here’s what they should do, halo 6 will gentle last chief game, and then we make a ton of halo games of different genres thst expand the lore.
Think star wars games.
I think they should stop doing numbered titles in the Halo franchise after 6. It would be pretty dumb for 343 to stop making Halo games altogether after that though, and there isn’t anything that states they can only develop one game series (to my knowledge).
It is kind of odd when you think about it, though. The franchise is called Halo, but we haven’t had a game that primarily took place on a Halo installation since Halo 2, back in 2004… 11 YEARS AGO.

I want to be looking forward to Halo 33 when I’m 90 something.
I’d like to live until I’m 105 and if there are no new Halo releases at that time (so roughly the year 2100) then I will be a sad old man. I want this franchise to last forever.

That is factually incorrect. I seem to remember we are up to Halo 5 now aren’t we?
Just because you no longer enjoy the game doesn’t mean it ended.
No offense but if you don’t classify this as a real Halo game, why are you bothering wasting your time on this forum about Halo 5 and bringing your negativity with you?

Back to the OP, I just hope Halo continues in someway, shape or form for a long time to come.
In my opinion Halo 6 should be the end of the Master Chief’s story. I think from there we should have games focusing on other characters. Im not saying kill Master Chief, but, like, give him some time off from the series.
Halo 7 in 2021 for the new Xbox console that will come out in 2020.

It did end at Halo 3, just like Dragon Ball ended at season 5; its the end of one certain story-arc, not the series as a whole.
