Ok, I am only putting this in the HW2 forum on account of how it is the game that will probably come closest to the start of the halo 6 story, put your pitchfork down.
I have been thinking about the post credit scene of HW2 and about how it relates to the post credit scene of H5. It is likely that the halo at the end of HW2 is the same one at the end of H5, which means that Anders is probably on it, and has likely either been killed by the guardian, or has spoken with Cortana and it is possible that the plot of H6, H7 or HW3 (if they happen) is the rescue Anders. But one important thing came to mind, according to http://www.graemedevine.com/graemedevine/Spirit_of_Fire/Entries/2009/3/13_Serina_and_Anders_talk.html, a site written by one of the lead writers for halo wars, Anders dreams of being an AI, yet, even though the UNSC had the capability to do so (Cortana is an AI based on a younger Halsey) Anders didn’t. It is possible that she just didn’t want to when she considered all the semantics of it (the AI wouldn’t be you, just a copy of you etc.), but it is more likely she knew how UNSC AI technology was, in that AIs go rampant and die after 7-8 years. However, Cortana has control of lots of forerunner technology, probably including the tools necessary to create Forerunner AI, such as 343 guilty spark and exuberant witness, which, as we have seen, don’t die after a certain amount of years and are very smart. My guess is that, Cortana may strike a deal with Anders, Anders will help her, and Cortana will turn her into a forerunner AI, giving her limitless potential for research. It is possible we will have to kill an Anders AI in H6, but hey, that is just my theory, I may be wrong.
Great ideas.
I hope we see at least Atriox in Halo 6. It would be pretty great to see the Spirit of Fire show up with Captain Cutter and Jerome.
Personally it is a great time to be an Xbox fan! We have the Xbox One X coming out in two months, Halo 5 and HW2 are getting 4K upgrades, and Halo 6 is a year away.
Great times to be a fan!
Not that I’m complaining, but wouldn’t the general discussion be better for this?
Everyone’s in kind of a terrible position to fight Cortana at this point. They need that ring, and they need to shut them all down if they even want to slow Cortana. Especially since Atriox is probably the only one with a standing army left that’s capable of fighting Cortana. The Infinity need to find the SoF and then they, the Swords of Sanghelios, and the Banished need and have to join forces if they want to see the next day, let alone the next year. Cortana has every advantage. The tech, infinite soldiers, and now, Halos. If they deal with Atriox any other way then formally signing a cease-fire with him, not only will I be disappointed, but they’re all gonna die. Cortana will fire the Halos, and, if you weren’t paying attention, the humans and prophets will be extinct because both of their home planets Dreadnoughts are gone. The prophets’ is somewhere on Earth, if not shot to pieces, and the humans’ is somewhere on the Ark.

Probably, but like me, he probably didn’t know there was one until you mentioned it. It is kind of relevant, though, considering Halo Wars 2 has major plot points in it.
Given that Anders is on the new ring and encounters a Guardian, we know that Cortana, the Warden, and the Prometheans will go there. Where the enemies go, the UNSC will follow. I have a good feeling that the Chief will make contact with Anders and become aware of the situation with Cutter and Atriox on the Ark. From there, Cortana could activate the ring or the ark, so perhaps we could go to both locations? Cortana is smart, so she might trick the UNSC and whoever else decides to fight against her that she plans to activate the ring to bring them all there. That way, she can go to the ark. But there, I don’t think she will expect to stumble upon a conflict already there, so perhaps she may launch an assault to get to the same place that Truth went to in “The Covenant” mission in Halo 3. This could wrap the game up in the same place where we initially defeated the covenant.
Feel free to use one the active threads in either Universe or General Discussion, let’s keep this forum for discussing Halo Wars, thanks.
