My prediction for the halo 6 plot is a flood invasion, cortana left earth defenseless after halo5 with her emp, and because she is most likely infected with the logic plague due to her time spent with the grave mind she was probably manipulated into controlling the prometheans so the flood would have no opposition, I’m guessing you’ll play mostly as chief with your party consisting of chief, buck(possibly), Locke, and the arbiter, chief and arbys have already come to accept the they will live out their lives as soldiers, and with the enormous threat of the flood and cortana he will definently leave the swords of sanghelios in the hands of someone else, I’m guessing that the unsc will take a backseat to the swords of sanghelios, and most of your missions will be at least assisted by sangheli support, be it elites or vehicles or dare I say armor ;)? What do you guys think?
The Flood were created from the biological avatars of the Precursors. The Flood were tasked with manipulating galactic events to ensure Humanity gets the chance to attain the Mantle. Throughout the Forerunner Saga we are given sufficient evidence of the Flood’s abilities and true intentions to conclude that if the Flood’s goals had been what they appear to be on the surface, it would have already won, but instead the Flood limits its action to allow others to “defeat” it (such as pretending ancient humanity’s cure worked, allowing the Halos to be designed, allowing a second set of Halos to be designed and built, not attacking the Lesser Ark, sparing Earth again in Halo 3, and the list goes on).
I suspect that if there are any Flood in Halo 6, it will be those we’ve seen on the Ark fighting the Banished, and it will be the Infinity cauterizing their way through to information held by a system within the Flood Quarantine zone which will lead them to Maethrillian where they could potentially hard-reboot Abaddon again, ending Cortana and the threat her Created pose to the galaxy.
this looks a lot less like a prediction and a lot more like wishful hoping
