Plus it meant we didn’t have to shell out $19.99 per map pack like in the past. As long as they don’t merge Paid DLC in with the MT’s, then I’m okay with it.

This x100. As long as the MT’s are funding the unification of the community rather than forcing fragmentation like paid Map Packs & Season Passes do, I’m all for it. Addendum: As long as those same MT’s stay out of the Arena side of the game and don’t affect that half of the game. Let’s keep Arena fair play for everyone yeah?

Which is unfortunately what they’re doing with Halo Wars 2. Paid DLC + Microtransactions.
Which means they’ll shell out “DLC” of reskinned maps calling them new maps and playlists such as BTB that should’ve been there at launch. But again, unless you give your source, it means nothing.

Past DLC never cost 19.99$. 7.99$ was the max except for Halo Wars.
I would rather pay every couple of months and actually get good DLC than what we’ve seen for Halo 5. Plus they could just implement a mandatory update so free users would get the maps for Multiplayer only then that would work just fine.

If 343 made people pay for content that should have been there at launch people would riot. It’s already shady enough that they released stuff that should have been there from launch under the guise of Free DLC. But making people pay for it would be drawing the line.
Although I hope Halo 6 is better than Halo 5 I’ve learned just to take whatever is said with a grain of salt. Even if this person is beyond certain it is going to in the game I’ll still just wait until 343 make the announcement themselves or the game is released.
Nothing has been officially confirmed for the next Halo game so far, so until it’s announced everything is pretty much just rumor. If the info you have is from a source that you cannot reveal, it’s probably going to his the ‘leaked content’ rule. Be wary of such information as there has been a lot of false info spread this way, as what happened a few months back.
