So much dedication the community has put into trying to make the next Halo better. I remember Naked Eli’s 10 part Halo 5 Ranking System vids back in the Halo 4 days.
For Halo 6, why not make a system that you have to earn your rank/emblem/armor/stance/etc.
H6 Perfect UI / Unlock / Rank :
Halo Reach Credit System: Anything you do, kills/campaign kills/challenges, rewards you with Credits. You use and save your credits to purchase certain things. - Halo 3 Ranking System / H5 Ranking System / Halo Reach Ranking Levels: Your rank depends on your skill, your K/D, your rank can go down or up after matches depending on how well YOU DID (K/D). With a H5 system of how much you play, so how much you play gives you more locked stuff unlocked, that needs to still be purchased with Credits. Halo Levels: Recruit-Marine-ODST-Spartan, you know, lets have levels based on what we see, not the military - Halo Reach Unlocks: When you rankup to the next level (ex ODST: Helljumper), you unlock armors, stances, emblems, weapon skins, visors, but you do not have them unlocked completely yet. You purchase from what you own, Credits, to spend on certain armors. - UI, clean UI that doesnt take 3 whole seconds to respond like the MCC. A main menu that has something to do with the game! (ex for H5 we could of had a guardian or something back there) Suggestions accepted!
Never liked rng, destiny left a bad taste in my mouth that needs to be scrubbed daily.
My suggestion for Armor:
We get the default armor sets to be unlocked by a fair system (reach style or however)
To get the different skins you need to win matches, get kills, headshots whatever wearing the base original armor
Even if you left the base armors in the req system and won the skins through challenges wearing the armor, that’s still a bunch of items out of the rng pool

Yep, the Credit system is a basic and awesome system. I don’t like saying I got my armor from a random card pack, and bragging about it.
Earning and unlocking it, you can choose the emblem that you have always used and what armor you want. rng such as reqs are the evillllll
I like the credit system but that would likely mean a move back to paid dlc which is not such a good idea. I think a better mix between earned emblems etc and random ones would be a good mix.
As for the ranking system, K/D is not a very accurate representation of performance especially in a mode containing vehicles. Even in 4 player arena, so much more goes into a performance. Overall though the current system could be better, sure winning is important but for individuals a measure of K/D/A, objective play and spawn control would be better with wins as an additional boost.
Hey, Im all down for credit earning, I don’t see a huge problem with the current req system so long as I can earn it. My biggest issue is earning things like armour. I wish that H5 had player cards at the beginning of the match. Halo reach and H4 had them. Just to be able to scroll over someone’s name and see some stats and their armour. I always enjoyed grinding for armour in H4. Instead of the silly emblems which I have little-to-no care for…

watch late night gamings video on how it can be improved because i agree with what we said. have a store are with rp where you buy specific armour and weaponary or try your luck on a pack and packs can give varients
As long as it’s not the RNG rubbish we currently have, I am all for it. I am sick of opening packs and getting trash while people I know who are lower level than me/opened less gold packs after finishing silver- have unlocked armours like Mark IV which I desperately want, yet I here I am still getting legendary and ultra rare variants of common armour, pathetic. I am so sick and tired of it.
Credit system was a grind and won’t be much different than h5s minus the rng to it. As for your ranks, I prefer it being W/L over k/d. What good is your stats if you can’t win games? Being a good players goes beyond just k/d which many just don’t understand.
How was Halo Reach’s credit system “earning it”? People farmed either Gruntocalypse or Custom Challenges until they got the XP and credits they wanted and buy a couple armors.
It’s Halo 5 without the RNG.
Also, K/D doesn’t work everywhere, especially if Halo is supposed to be a “team based game”. what about Objective modes? The guy who’s busy carrying the flag is just as important as the guy killing everyone around him.
I completely agree. While there are some good benefits of the req system i cant stand there is nothing else we can earn. They should have a bracket of hard to obtain items that you can just use reqs on. It would work exactly the same as the credit system. This way people can feel that they earned said item. I get it i dont like the system now either. Have nothing to work for anymore.
343 if you are going to take anything suggested by the community and put it into halo 6, this is it. As much as I would love for the priority to be bringing playable elites back, we need the credit system more. The credit system makes people proud of their armor, because they had to work hard to earn it. People don’t want to have armor based off random chance, and if they don’t get one they like, then they shouldn’t be screwed out of enjoying customizing their spartan.

I miss that too. I always enjoyed checking out the competition before a match
Credit system is great, but I’d prefer a reward-based system similar to H3. If H6 has more armors like Recon from H3 it’d give me a lot more incentive to play. The grind for credits was kind of boring while the grind for Recon was incredibly difficult but engaging.
Anything that isn’t REQ packs is a step in the right direction though.
Reach had the best system for unlocking new things. If you wanted something, you had to rank up and use your hard earned credits to buy it. It was straightforward, with no gimmicks. The fact that unlocks rely on RNG in Halo 5 pretty much removes the element of visible progress. In Reach, everytime you ranked up and earned credits, you could clearly see yourself progressing toward the next thing you want to unlock. In Halo 5, whenever you buy a pack, it’s random. And since the REQ system is absolutely flooded with a bunch of junk that most people don’t even want, it can be easy to get discouraged and think “I don’t want to play anymore today” after opening several REQ packs and getting nothing you want.
Halo 3’s system of earning armor isn’t perfect, either. One of the things I disliked about Halo 3’s armor system is that sometimes you had to go out of your way to get an piece of armor, and even then you might not get it. For example, Ascetic armor required you to get a triple kill with a sword in free-for-all. Those are some pretty damn specific, situational requirements. In fact, to this day I still haven’t gotten this achievement. It certainly doesn’t help that I absolutely despise free for all. A better way would be to use Halo Reach’s ranking and credit system. Keep ranking up and earning credits, and you’ll eventually get what you want. Not you’ll eventually get a chance to get what you want. As for the ranking system, the hybrid system we have now is good. Spartan ranks that increase the more you play, and division ranks for ranked playlists, independent from everything else.
ALL emblems will be available at the start, just like in Reach and before - Helmets, armor, stances, and visors must be unlocked VIA buying with Credits, earning Achievements, or completeing Commendations - Everything else will go into the REQ system (one-time vehicles+weapons, loadout weapons, armor mods, & weapon skins) Thoughts?
