Halo 5 was in my opinion the WORST halo in the franchise because of the POOR campaign, the story line made no -bleep-ing sense and the freaking poor character backstory’s, just look at Locke! we knew absolutely no backstory unless you the player read the comics, and watched nightfall. And last time I checked chief wasn’t this depressing piece of trash! honestly the character development is just nothing but trash honestly, now this may be my bungie nostalgic talking but what ever happened to great campaign storylines, great character development, and a reason you were there, now yeah the multiplayer is good and all but just look at it, the customization options are -bleep- compared to halo 4’s customization or halo reach’s customization, all I am saying is that halo 6 needs time to develop and 343 if you see this, DO NOT -BLEEP- UP LIKE YOU DID WITH HALO 5! give it 3 years. that’s all I’m asking, halo 3 lasted us to halo reach and halo wars 2 is coming out (not a big fan of halo wars though :T) and some people can relate, to be honest 343 I am looking forward to halo 6 I really am but can we just take as much time as we can to do the best 343 can do. so hate on me all you want this was just my opinion.

Well, it hasn’t been announced to be released in 2017, so logically it would get at least the same time in development as Halo 2, 3, Reach, and 5.
As much as I don’t think Halo 5 was that great in comparison to the rest as far as storyline, you’re probably still forgetting a lot of the downfalls from the other campaigns. Halo 2’s could be a downright struggle in between cutscenes, because you were fighting through so many enemies that you forgot why or what you were doing. Halo 3 had some major plot holes (High Charity and the Ark, anyone?), Halo Reach had pretty boring and two dimensional characters, not to mention the Cortana canon messing. And Halo 4, as much as that may be one of my favorite campaigns, if you didn’t do some extra-cirricular research before/during/after, you’d be a bit lost.
I do agree with the customization loss in 5, and the fact there’s no splitscreen/system link/classic firefight/offline modes. But I’ve played more multiplayer games in 5 than I have in 4 for a reason, because it’s simply just better.
5 has a ton of issues, but the development cycle for it or Halo 6 isn’t one.

Master Chief has changed a lot since Halo 4 and my theory is that he do miss Cortana. I think it’s very natural that Master Chief has changed since Halo 4 and the other Halo titles because Cortana had a major impact on Chief. How would you feel if your absolute best friend died by some odd reason. It would of course feel empty and depressing.
A lot of books and movies mad that feeling much better than 343 did with H5 but they was successful.
I will at least name 1 book that has made good job with writing that feeling on a piece of paper. You don’t have to read that book in any way.
