Halo 6 multiplayer

So I’ve been seeing the community talking about Halo 6’s multiplayer and 343I Could do to improve from Halo 5’s multiplayer. Now I enjoy Halo 5’s multiplayer, it’s a great step away from Halo 4’s attempt but it doesn’t quite live up to Halo 2 or 3’s multiplayer experience. A lot of the community seems to be torn between classic Halo being the golden triangle, and what Halo 5 brought to the table with spartan abilities, sprint and so on. Taking in what I’ve been reading I made a gametype that I believe could potentially be a decent medium between the classic Halo we all know and love and what 343I is trying to do.

Sorry for the lazy link.

For the gametype I disabled sprint therefore taking away sliding, and spartan charge (despite liking to bust through walls), and increased the player movement speed, strafe, and acceleration to compensate for disabling sprint. Jump height has also been increased for crouch jumping, and clamber speed is slightly increased. All other spartan abilities remain untouched currently.

If anyone in the community would like to make more suggestions on what they believe would improve what changes have already been made or new changes feel free to comment.

I would sacrifice anything to take it spartan charge.

I don’t want to offend any Halo player here but I think the only ones suffering from Spartan charge are the noobs and not the pros. As a competitive player I’ll let you know that Spartan charge is by far the weakest ability(ignoring slide). When I play against other pros I hardly die from Spartan charges. I’m sure I have the least amount of deaths from Spartan charges. Ground pound however is heavily used among pros. None of the pros I met complained about the abilities. The only things they complained about was invisibility, and bad spawns that give enemies certain better power weapons or map advantages. Sprint is fine now. Pros don’t hate it anymore. The fact that your shields don’t recover is great. It’s extremely difficult to run away unlike how it was in Halo Reach. So the conclusion is I disagree with anyone who says Spartan charge is over powered.

Also back in Halo 4 I made a gametype as well. I named it Arena. There is a time stamp on it too. The abilities I added were the grenade pick up perk and the thruster armor ability. I really do think that gametype influenced 343. Even if the idea was just passed on. I also had a good amount of downloads on it.

I think 343 should add on more abilities even if they don’t make it to Arena and other competitive modes. Firstly they should add back armor abilities for forge and customs and possibly even Warzone as that’s the casual mode for Halo. They could add wall running, double jumping, grapple hooks, and what not. Just to make Halo more fun for the casual side. I have a feeling noobs in Halo suffer from the Arena modes and think everything is OP even though it’s all balanced. They should keep all of it for Halo 6’s Arena modes but add new and fun stuff for the casual community.
