(I know it is called Halo Infinite, but I hate when they don’t number mainline games)
I know it is going to be a launch title for Xbox Project Scarlet, but I have also heard that it will also be on Xbox One, and while I want to believe that it will be available on two systems (since Nintendo did it with Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild) I don’t think they want to downgrade the game so people will need to buy the new console when it comes out.
It will definitely be available across the Xbox One family… So you won’t have to upgrade to the new console if you aren’t ready.
But keep in mind… they are using the game to launch the Xbox Scarlett… so it will have bells and whistles that the Xbox One won’t be able to keep up with. It will be a marketing centrepiece to get people to upgrade or even come over from the dark side.
Having said that… MS will be very keen to show they are serious in their support for devices over multiple generations… so the Xbox One version should functionally match it’s Scarlett counterpart.
And I’m sure they built the new Slipstream game engine with backwards compatibility in mind.

It is confirmed to be on one since E3 2018.
We will be getting the flighting program on one and PC before 2020.
The game will just be better on scarlet.
It’s been confirmed to release on the Xbox One yes but who knows how well it will compare to other versions. I would not be surprised if it ends up being 30fps at 900p.
