I only want to say one thing, I’m sorry just don’t get offended if you liked locke, And I know it’s not easy to make up ideas and video games but the problems did happen so I’m just saying what I feel.
But 343 said they will be focusing on only chief in halo 6, which is awesome.
But I feel like they have an idea that new characters are not a good thing now.
That is just not true though, Locke just felt so forced, and the team was too overpowered, it just made no sense it was obvious 343 wanted to kill chief off for some reason, (characters don’t hold back stories with huge worlds, the writing does.)
why they were overpowered.
basically every scene had them destroying everything in their site easily. it was a joke. 343 obviously didn’t know what the game they were making was about.
You can reference ODST or REACH, in ODST most of them got messed up! In reach they died!
You can’t have multiple badasses in a series.
Chief although he is a badass we was never OP, just “lucky”
bungie made everything make sense to an extent they had a balance to the writing etc.
we knew chief was a badass but we also knew he wasn’t invincible.
okay i’m just ranting here.
Anyway I just want you guys to know that multiple playable characters is a cool thing. such as the arbiter. But you need a good story and a good reason to want to play that character. Arbiter and blue team would be badass to play as still. (blue team to some extent, some characters need to stay side characters)
Maybe in halo 7 where there is a huge war you play separate missions of chief arbiter and (maybe) locke all doing their own thing. fighting to protect their own things. and who knows maybe add some dynamic of team osiris or locke leaving oni because they are corrupt or something and bam there you have a side game (maybe)
there was no dynamic between chief and locke. Locke just looked like a joke.
Now if those original plans for h5 I heard about were true then that would have been a good reason to play locke, if the trailers were accurate then locke would actually be pretty cool. but dont make him op and cocky he should be more of a spy and an anti hero if anything. especially since hes a “military dog”
