If you played the campaign to H5, you’ll know how John S-117 “Master Chief” got his visor cracked. In the E3 trailer to H5, he is covered in a rag while holding onto Cortana’s, AI chip where she would be stored into. He then Comes across a Guardian that resurfaces from the ground and the trailer ends. We didn’t see that during the game. Now thinking back to how it ended, what if the Guardians were put back down or a solo Guardian was stored underground or maybe even didn’t activate during the whole process? I can be all wrong but it’s just a thought since i just came across the trailer and thought damn, what if? Cause most likely, he’s not going to let it go. Any opinions? Theories? Thoughts? What do you think is going to happen?

There’s actually a good theory that the E3 trailer for Halo that year wasn’t specifically for H5! I tried to find the thread it was from but I failed lol. It basically explains how the E3 trailer doesn’t indicate that it’s for H5 because it doesn’t actually show any events that we saw in the game. I think it was a glimpse into the events of H6.
Hmm… maybe. It would explain why the Halo 6 script read “final”.
That travelling cloak(tarp) from H4 was the start of their trailers making no sense to me.
I don’t know if I can believe that the E3 trailer was set for Halo 6, but it would make some sense with what Halo Follower showed on their Halo Club. I don’t know where they got this information from (watch it yourself, the link is below), but they said that Halo Wars 2 is a couple years after Halo 5. Halo Wars 2 is important to the plot for Halo 6 so Halo 6 is also a few years after Halo 5. The only way I can see Halo 6 being a couple years after is if Master Chief and the UNSC went into hiding, otherwise we are missing a lot of the story in between the two games. Thus, the reason why Master Chief has the cloak (for hiding himself) and the cracked visor (after Halo 5).

So i may be correct? Cause them needing to go into hiding explains a lot to why hes covered, but he’s not going to just let Cortana be after everything she has done and he’s not going to let anyone stop him.
That E3 teaser was technically not for Halo 5, but rather Halo on Xbox One (which began with MCC). So, maybe, that was just a concept that may or may not be implemented at a later time. At this point in the Halo timeline, all Guardians have been uncovered and are in Cortana’s possession.
That was just a conceptual trailer, it likely didn’t occur within the Halo universe canonically. It was just meant to express some ideas that Halo would be touching base on in the future: Cortana’s loss, the imminent threat of Guardians, Master Chief being damaged, etc.
To compare to something similar, Atriox and Cutter probably never walk through a battlefield where the battle is taking place in slow motion only to stand a few paces from each other to glare menacingly at each other.
I would go so far as to say every Halo game has had advertisements for it that didn’t end up in game, and don’t have a concrete placement in the canon.

I think you’re right within the limitations of what we know! We can only be sure when we see H6 haha
