I like Halo 5 a lot, but it’s obvious that multiplayer was designed with Warzone in mind and everything else was an after-thought. This leads to the current issure where base vehicles are too weak to balance out their upgraded versions. And while this works fine in WZ, it causes issues in BTB. If Halo 6 were to be designed around BTB (like Halo CE-Reach were) I think that many of the issues that the community is experiencing would be solved. Warzone is a fun mode, but Halo has always been centered around BTB.
PS: Please go back to Halo 3/Reach style armor, the new “Forerunner inspired” armor is ugly and not practical at all. Halo used to be a gritty “space marine” series but now it’s becoming too flashy for my and many others taste.
completely agree BTB still doesn’t have a map made by 343 and many people can get more kills on foot rather than use a vehicle
I’ve always thought of Halo as being centered around 4v4 Slayer. Where do you get the BTB notion from?
Pff, I feel like Halo 5’s campaign was an after-thought. Let’s focus on what actually shapes the Halo universe first-and-foremost.
I think Warzone it’s fun, and a good multiplayer mode, but i always see some people saying things like “halo never was like this”, yeah, the previous Halo was like you say, but the change and progress it’s not bad, I don’t meaning BTB doesn’t matter, it’s essential part of Halo, like all the multipalyer, but neither it’s the answer disappear warzone. (Sorry if my english it’s bad, i’m mexican)
The issue is that Warzone is 100% Req driven.
BTB does not have this. So they’re seeing how viable Warzone focus is- let’s be real here guys, it’s the core mode of the game. At least, that’s how MS/343i sees it and hey that’s fine.
But still, I miss BTB being THE big thing.
I don’t ever remember Halo mm centered around BTB. More like 4v4. I do want better BTB though, battles involving 12v12 or higher without reqs would be great imo.

Typically LAN parties from Halo: CE. 4v4 and 8v8 were the two popular ways to play. So Halo 2 started the trend of BTB and Team Slayer/Objective online. It continued until Halo 5 because BTB wasn’t in it at launch. It is now, but it’s clear that Warzone (some would argue the new BTB, except it really isn’t) and competitive Arena is the main focus.
