Halo 6 Debunked (Think outside the box)

Initially i wanted to make a video about this, but iMovie on Macbook has very little video customisation it sickens me. I may attempt this however so I can spread the word. Anyway, on with the show. In this article I’m going to discuss the future possibilities of Halo 6, and how the story may very likely involve the Ark.

Firstly I will state the myths everyone believes about Halo 6, and then after each one I will explain how those myths are unlikely to be true and what the real results could be.

Flood return in Halo 6

Popular belief/myth #1: Cortana is (going to) activating the Halo ring(s).

Debunked: This popular belief does not make any sense. The guardians are so powerful that she technically does not even need to use a Halo since much of the galaxy is already under her control (it seems). The Halos are so powerful that if she actually were to use one she would contradict the galactic empire she wishes to rule. Kill everyone = nothing to forcefully govern. How can she govern anything if she uses a Halo? It can only be used as a bluff, but why the need if she’s already using the Guardians.

Another reason why she is not activating the rings is because the Domain is physically vulnerable to the array. Activating the nearest halo will literally destroy the Precursor Domain (something the Master Chief could do to stop her. Even the Didact feared the possibility of activating Halo in Escelation).

Popular belief / myth #2 Cortana can easily activate “all” the rings. (At the same time)

Debunked. This is not possible for several reasons…

1: All Halos can only be activated at the same time from the Ark.

2: Cortana is unaware of the Halo on the Ark, she can not retrieve it since she, according the Mythos, is unable to reach the Ark.

3: Activating a Halo ring requires a human/Forerunner to insert the activation index. Not to mention Cortana would have to retrieve an activation index via Prometheans and force a human to insert the Activation Index like in Halo 2 (Tartarus forcing Keyes). Prometheans are also unable to insert an activation index. There are no other possible ways to activate a Halo except via the Ark. Halos can not be remotely detonated via the Domain (who thinks of this stuff?)

4: Cortana can not reach all the rings at the same time. If you played the campaign of Halo 5, you’ll realise the it took Cortana a considerable amount of time to activate the Guardians. She could only activate one by one. In fact, why did she need Master Chief to enter 2 Guardians? (1 on Meridian and 1 on Sanghelios) This leads me to the suspicion that Cortana needs humans to activate the Guardians. Why else would Chief go to Sanghelios? Halo 5’s story does not explain how Cortana managed to activate any Guardians, except the she simply “activated” them. The process of the Guardians awakening in Halo 5 occurred 1 by 1, meaning that the Guardians were not all activated at the same time. This slow process allowed plenty of time for the UNSC infinity (who magically knew of their existence) to monitor the sequences and to even locate and hopefully control one for themselves. Unfortuantely, they spent way too much time fighting the Covenent rather than aiming for the Guardian quickly enough. This leads me to believe again that humans / Forerunners are needed to activate the Guardians. Cortana did not simply activate the Guardian on Meridian, she used Chief to do it. If Warden Eternal allowed Osiris on board, imagine the control they would’ve had over it. Cortana couldn’t have simply taken it away from them if they took it away for themselves.

5: Just because Cortana has access to the domain does not mean she knows the location of the halo rings. Halo 5 failed to explain how she activated the Guardians, failed to explain how even knew about them except the Domain granting her “unimaginable power and knowledge”, and as always failed explain nearly everything. Thanks for the abundantly clear information 343…

Myth #3: The E3 Trailer with Chief in the cloak and the orange Guardian is located on the Ark

This is actually fact!!! To all Halo fans it was immediately obvious the E3 trailer featured the Ark mainly because of the Planetoid in the background. It wasn’t enough however to rely simply on a planet, but at the end of the Trailer it is definitely proven. Proof: You see the arms of the Ark in the background of the E3 Trailer.

There has been many theories regarding this trailer, but now I’ve come to an even more bigger realization: The Ark has a Guardian on it and Cortana has no idea.

Here are the facts: According to the newest book, Halo Mythos, Cortana is unable to reach the Ark. She has no control over it. The Ark is essentially safe from Cortana’s grasp according to the book. This means she has no control over the Halo ring located on the Ark, she has no control over the Guardians burried on the Ark, she has 0% control over the Ark itself. Maybe she has no idea where it’s physically located too. Somehow Chief will learn of this and he will look for the Ark.

More theories revolve around Chief looking at the chip that once carried Cortana… maybe so, but perhaps this chip has more to it than what meets the eye. Clearly Chief would not go to a Guardian if humans were not able to control them. Chief is definitely seeking to control this Guardian, and being a human, that’s a piece of cake. He’s done it before. The chip may contain elements of Cortana. Recognizing Cortana as an authorization for boarding, the Guardian awakens at the signal and grants Chief aboard.

Popular Belief #4: Pre-Halo 5 Trailers lied

Debunked: Pre-Halo 5 trailers also confirm ONI discussing Master Chief activating the Guardians. Although they seemed highly exagerated, there is still a possibility of seeing those trailers somewhat occur in another game. Namely, the trailer with Locke vs Chief, it is immediately clear that the two characters are located on Earth at the memorial in Kenya (dedicated to Master Chief 2553). Chief needs to get to Earth to get to the Ark. We already saw that Locke and Chief mysteriously flew to Sanghelios from Genesis. It’s not wrong to assume they will magically get to Earth.

I have plenty more to talk about, including the Didact. Stay tuned for more information

EDIT: New Theories Emerging

Halo Legends (Origins) is still a mysterious anime movie. In the episode it is obvious Cortana is either going rampant or turning evil as she seeks a solution solving “war”. I’ve only just thought of this in a split second though, so listen up:

Myth 5# The Flood have been defeated

No… you mojos, the Flood still exists. Halos were a primary example that the Flood were studied on the Halo rings. If they escape containment, they have no physical way of escaping the Halo (until let’s say a ship lands on the Halo giving the Flood access to escape it like in Halo 2.

In Halo Legends, the Flood can be seen communicating with Master Chief and do something to Cortana’s chip, giving it back to Master Chief. The Domain is not the only facility full of knowledge, it is possible the Flood know how to defeat Cortana. The flood in fact have incredible influence and we can not underestimate the things they are capable of.

So what are all the possible big things about Halo 6? See here: a Halo ring, return of the Didact, return of the Flood, return to the Ark

I had this theory in a thread in May. It could be wrong, but I’m curious if in any way it’s possible. And sorry for the horrible writing back then.

> I know this is a long read, but try to at least skim the paragraphs. Hope you all enjoy! Thanks for reading my thread!
>
> Okay, I have been thinking long and hard on this. In the first teaser trailer for what we assume is Halo 5. It shows Chief in a cloak(or poncho) and a broken visor venturing in a desert. In an interview, 343, (I think it was Frank O’Connor), said that Chief is hiding from something. What is Chief scared of? When he is in the desert, he finds a Guardian. But this Guardian is different. It has red eyes and “tentacles”. I could be just a change in concept art, but wouldn’t it be shown in The Art of Halo 5: Guardians? The Guardians are used for peace, so the blue colored eyes and energy looks peaceful. But this Guardian, is menacing. Alright, this thread is going to get confusing real quick.
>
> Chief is seen wearing a cloak in the teaser trailer and achievements for Halo 5. A cloak is never seen in gameplay. Why is this cloak used so much, but never seen? What if we have been seeing the story of Halo 6 this whole time? After all, Halo 5 always said, “The Hunt Begins”. Why is it that when Chief confronts the Guardian, he pulls out the data chip that once held Cortana? Is this his answer to stop the Reclamation of Cortana (and I guess “The Created” is a new and interesting form of enemies, man 343 loves adding new enemies). On to the live-action trailers.
>
> First off, 343 I love you for FOUR live-action trailers. Okay, in the first one that we saw, the Hunter and Hunted trailers. In the Hunter trailer, Locke seems pissed at Chief. His actions felt like a,“how could you…”. I don’t think going AWOL necessarily means you’re a traitor to humanity. If you look in the background, you see the Infinity in flames. In Halo 5, the Infinity was not scratched. The only bad thing was Cortana boarded Infinity for less than 30 seconds to give some type of message. Plus, there was some concept art released, if not the first concept art shown. The same city is in the background. So this city is important. In the Hunted trailer, Chief has a,"after all of this… was it worth it?" feeling in his speech. He talks to his own statue. He keeps asking himself if everything was worth it, as if something scarred him. In the “A Hero Falls” trailer, a former ONI worker releases to the public that on October 27, the Master Chief is dead. The emphasis on Chief’s death was used heavily in this marketing campaign. They say that reports from Meridian confirm this. Of course, the last Human colony where Chief and Blue Team was seen. But who would tell such a lie. Governor Sloan… He knew about Cortana’s uprising and tended to be part of it. Then again, glassed planets have bad records. This would be one of the first recruits of the Created. Only such a lie would be so believable with multiple deaths involved. As Tanaka stated, he just abandoned his people. When his people had no leader, they died. In the “Hunt Begins” trailer, Locke is informed that Chief is rogue and setting the Guardians loose. This may be how Humanity views Chief. He set these Guardians loose, killing multiple people at Meridian, including himself. The only place that knows that Cortana is alive is the Infinity. Where is the Infinity? God knows where. All I am guessing is, Cortana had Sloan make all of these false reports, call in the Guardians, have the Infinity be forced to leave a human colony, and possibly have the Infinity repeat slipspace jumps until they reach the new Halo Ring. What does Cortana want to do with the Halo Ring and the Guardians?
>
> In the intro of both Halo 4 and 5, Halsey is shown about talking to or about ONI. In Halo 4, she states that ONI underestimates John. In Halo 5, she says,“Spartan Locke, I have worked with ONI long enough to know the truth, when this is over, they will order you… to kill us both”. (This probably isn’t the correct wording but you get the point). It is uncertain if she talked to Locke face to face. She could have recorded this on a data pad to send to him when the time is right. But, she says “us both”. Who is the other person? It could be Cortana but it could be someone else. Just keep this in mind.
>
> Cortana’s plan was to lock John and Blue Team in a Cryptum. She says that in a thousand years, she will release them to see what she has done. Why does it need a thousand years? With all of the Guardians and the Halo Ring, it shouldn’t be over 20 or so years. What exactly does she plan on doing?
>
> My speculation is, Chief uses the Guardian to fight the Created and whoever stands in his way. Blue Team, Fireteam Osiris, Swords of Sanghelios, and the Infinity, go finish the fight on the Halo Ring. But it is almost a losing battle. Chief’s greatest enemy, is his greatest companion. When he is nearly losing his battle, he uses his good old plan. Self-destruct the Infinity to destroy the Halo Ring and maybe the Guardians. But this battle will have great losses. When the Infinity blows up, many lives will have been lost. Few will escape, if lucky. The Guardians are used as police. They maybe used to trap the Halo Ring. Try to escape, seismic pulse blows you out of the sky. No way out. When it’s nearly over, Locke has his next mission. Kill Halsey and the other mysterious person. Locke is a man of no hesitation when it comes to his mission. If he succeeds, Chief will hate him. Locke kills his mother-figure. Chief risks the lives of his fireteam, Osiris, Swords of Sanghelios, and everyone aboard the Infinity. Chief loses Halsey and more. Locke sees how much Chief takes sacrifices such as killing thousands of other humans. In the end, Chief has won, at a cost. Was it all worth it? In the end, Locke views the Chief as a traitor. How could he? All that is left, is to take their anger in a firefight against eachother. Their final mission. Who is friend? Who is foe? Traitor or Hero?
>
> "The one who was supposed to save us all… But now I must save us… from you…"
>
> “You finished your mission… Spartan Locke… Mine is just beginning…”

> I had this theory in a thread in May. It could be wrong, but I’m curious if in any way it’s possible…

It’s always good to think about. I think there’s a lot about Halo 5 we don’t understand, especially because of the inconsistency from the trailers, the story itself, and the major lack of meaningful information. I just had this new idea as we speak, that the trailers may still be relevent, Chief may go rogue after humanity needs him the most. Popular beief led us to belief it was his emotions and the beleifs he was fighting for (I wrote an article about Chief and what he stands for). I have a suspicion that when Chief comes in contact with the Flood, it may influence him on his quest to activate a Guardian. The Flood may even tell Chief how to fight Cortana, where to find a Guardian, and may even tell him that Guardians exist on the Ark. The Flood is somehow involved with Cortana’s chip in Halo Legends… I believe, that in being influenced by the Flood, Chief’s solution to fighting Cortana may cause devestation to the very people he was suspposedly saying. Even Locke looked up to Chief as a hero, until that moment he goes nuts (apparently in the trailers). We even see the UNSC infinity is damaged probably because of Chief. The location appears to be Earth. Maybe the Ark since the is a luminary in the background on that trailer and a memorial was built on the Ark at a UNSC base. Who knows.

Yeah but it’s free. iMovie isn’t marketed towards anyone trying to do anything remotely professional. I would recommend Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier for that.
