Well upon the announcement of a new halo trilogy I quickly came up with the assumption that chief was going to die in halo 6. Why? Well John was born for war, all he knows is how to kill, his body was augmented to kill faster and more effectively, he has a suit of armor to help him kill, etc.etc. point is that sadly Master Chief must die in halo, because only will death finally let him sleep in peace and rise him from a hero to a mythic legend. Death makes heroes into legends, eg: MLK, JFK, JC, John Lennon, the list goes on, point is bye bye chief hello hours of crying…
I’m afraid you’re wrong. It has been confirmed in several occasions that Master Chief will die in Halo 30.
I honestly think if that would happen then this would make alot of the Fans cry. Those that did not watch the extra cutscene at the end of Halo 3, I knew cried.
If John’s character had been developed massively in the Reclaimer Trilogy then I would probably cry if he died. He has an interesting backstory but I want to know his emotions just like I knew Thel Vadam’s.
Honestly, I hope the series ends with 6. Not so much the books and other media, but the end of the game series. As much as I love the series I’d rather see it end and end with a bang instead of releasing games for so long that even the fans get tired of them and they just kinda fade from the minds of people.

As much as I’d like to play Halo forever, I agree. Better to die a legend than to die an old memory.

Agreed.

Yes I believe he will die in Halo 6…it’s going to be super sad though
It’s called the forerunner saga for a reason,it’s a trilogy inside the same universe as the original trilogy, there will be many other halos

When I read that I was using a serious/troll voice and it made me lol so hard.
That made my day
Hero’s never die!!!

If here were to die, I would want to see him take off him helmet, and kill himself. It will make everyone cry. It will be the most emotional thing in gaming history.
> Hero’s never die!!!
Hells yea lol, anyways the other reason I say this is because halos games have been prototypes for their next game, ex: halo 2 introduced dual-wielding and the needler death beam was taken out in h3, odst introduced firefight and took out dual wielding which we miss in reach, now reach also had two-handed weapons to prepare us for halo cea, now the mission lone wolf prepared us for what kids? I rest my case, we will all grieve for the passing of John 117, but hey we had a brief funeral in h3 which again prepared us for the real death of chiefs death. Only question remains is how the legend we all love will perish…

Would be tragic but would disown all the mysterious and heroic the chief is, heroes don’t blatantly shoot themselves, it would just end up with a looooooooolot of enraged fans
> Hero’s never die!!!
Except they all do. That’s why they become legends.
Halo 7 will be the last Halo, only makes since.
> Halo 7 will be the last Halo, only makes since.
That could be a possibility actually.

As poetic as that would be, I think a Halo 7 might be pushing it.
Wait, technically H6 will be H7 because of Reach…
sometimes i think they shouldve stopped at Halo 3 but if they have a compelling story that keeps the fans interested well than im all for 3 more Halo games. I just really hope they dont mess it up and the series fades away. I will still buy all the games for love of the series though
They want to solidify Chief as sort of an iconic/everlasting legend type of character like Link from the Zelda series. They will never kill him, just send him to a different era.
“Heroes die, legends live forever”

I kinda agree with this. If people will still buy the games they will not kill him off. I just can’t see them doing it anyway.
