Halo 6 Concept

I think Halo 5 has been out long enough for us to start thinking about what’s next for the Halo franchise. What we do know is that H6 will probably have another split narrative between Locke and Chief again. But what if Locke’s side of the story delt with returning to Halo’s roots while Chief’s story propelled the overall Reclaimer Saga forwards. Think about, we have two antagonists (Cortana and Warden) and two heroes (Chief and Locke).

What if, for Locke’s half of the campaign, the UNSC Infinity somehow crash landed on a Halo ring, perhaps due to a Guardian or the Warden, and then the Warden attempts to eradicate them by either activating the Ring or releasing the Flood. Locke and the rest of Osiris could try to save the Infinity. Not only would this act as a huge nostalgia boost for players, but it would give them a great chance to explore Locke’s character and see how he differently deals with a similar situation we once saw Chief in. Especially since he probably isn’t going to want to blow up the Infinity like Chief blew up the Pillar of Autumn. And obviously a ton of new elements could be added in as well.

Then for Chief’s half of the story, perhaps even the larger portion of the story, we could see Blue Team and the Swords of Sanghelios attempting to find a way to combat the Created and their Guardians. This way the new story would get propelled forwards and we would could get another emotional story between Chief and Cortana. Perhaps even the long awaited Mendicant Bias could come into play at this point. I think a story split like this could work really well, especially since H6 isn’t the end of the Reclaimer Saga and doesn’t have to set aside time for resolving the entire arc. It can afford taking the time to give us the nostalgic callback of Locke’s half of the story. Anyway, any thoughts or opinions from the rest of the community?
