Ok. Here’s an idea that I think will make most of the fanbase happy.
Since The Created are taking over everything, what if, in Halo 6, Master Chief wears a new version of the Mark VI that combines both elements of his Halo 4 and 5 armor design and his Halo 2 and 3 armor design? If Douglas in Halo Wars 2 is able to get a new Mark IV variant that has elements of the modern Halo design, then why shouldn’t the Chief get the same armor treatment as him? Think about that.
You know I personally wasn’t disappointed with the armor. In fact I really liked it. Why go back to older armor just for looks? Improved tech is better.

Most people thought it was too much of a departure from how he looked in the original trilogy. What I’m saying here is that 343 should keep the base elements of the new Mark VI intact (85% of it), but throw in some design elements from Halo 2 and 3 (15% of them) to give it some nostalgic elements. That’s what most people probably want.

I’d love to see John in his classic Mark VI armor.
His new suit, like almost all Generation 2 models, has so many parts that stick out and look as if they were only partially glued onto his body instead of being a coherent suit that looks like it’s one complete set or piece. Comparison - Anyone see my point?
Spartan armor is supposed to be/look like one complete body suit with multiple layers that are all attached to form the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor, not an undersuit with huge armor pieces that were randomly attached on different parts of the body that make several large gaps in armor like the crotch area (which was made to stop bullets), IMO.
